The second edition of BPB Freebie Sunday includes some of the cool freebies which were released last week, but I didn’t have enough time to include them in the main news section.
We have some cool hip hop drum samples, some free patches for Albino 3, a set of kung fu sounds and two label samplers with tons of free loops and one shots. Finally, there’s a neat EDM production tutorial for Logic users.
- Vinyl Drum Kits is a free collection of drum samples designed for use in hip hop and similar music genres, created by Studyjne. The pack includes 37 drum samples in total, spread across three individual drum kits. The included drum samples are pretty neat, definitely a recommended download for hip hop producers!
- Kung Fu Sound FX is a free collection of sound effects and quotes from various martial arts movies. The sample pack is released as a free download by Loophole Samples.
- Yemski Albino Patches is a free collection of presets for Rob Papen’s discontinued Albino 3 synthesizer, created by Adam Smith aka Yemski. The presets were previously available in two commercial sound banks called Yemski Arps & Grooves and Yemski Sound Scapes, but the author has now re-released them as a free download for everyone. - The Starter Collection is a free collection of samples taken from various commercial releases by No Dough Samples. This free sample pack was recently updated, introducing a fresh refill of samples and loops which can be downloaded and used for free. Please note that you’ll need to sign up for a user account at No Dough Samples in order to download the freebie pack. The registration process is completely free.
- Rankin Audio Label Sampler 2 is a free collection of loops and samples by Rankin Audio. The freebie pack contains 95 items in total, covering drum loops, bass samples, brass sounds and lots of other good stuff. The provided samples are free to use even in commercial music projects (read the full license in the download pack). Want more free label samples? Lookie here.
- EDM Production in Logic is a free EDM production tutorial by Kid Massive, published by CNTRL Samples. It explains some useful EDM production techniques for Logic users, however most of these methods can also be applied to other DAWs, too.
