This new edition of BPB Freebie Sunday features a set of custom wavetables for the XFER Serum virtual synthesizer, some cool ambient loops and samples by Bluezone Corporation, along with a whole bunch of other neat freebie stuff.
If you’re new to this section of the site, BPB Freebie Sunday features all the recently released free stuff which hasn’t been published in our main news section due to lack of time. For more interesting freebies, take a look at the news page.
- BassTables is a free set of custom wavetables for the XFER Serum virtual synthesizer. The provided wavetables were handcrafted by AJYoung.
- rTube is a free tube saturation effect for NI Reaktor users, crafted by Andrei Kruss. I haven’t tested it myself, but it looks like it could be a useful free saturation effect. Leave a comment below if you test this freebie and let me know how it sounds.
- Ryuno Sound Design Pack is a free dubstep sample pack made with XFER Serum, Roland SH-201 and Korg Monotron. My favorite part of the pack are the sounds which were sampled from the SH-201, although some of the other ones are pretty neat, too.
- Korg 05RW – Operators features a multi-sampled instrument patch from the Korg 05RW synthesizer. The download pack also contains a nifty NKI patch for the included samples.
- Y-Roc’s Flutes is a free Ableton Live instrument rack created by AfroDJMac. It is based on a collection of samples of two different flutes which have been recorded by Cory Morgan, aka y-Roc. In a addition to the regular instrument rack which features the flute samples mapped across the keyboard, the download pack includes a bonus drum rack based on the modified versions of the same flute samples which have been turned into drum hits.
- MidiCore Soundpack is a new free sample pack by Kyle Mohr. The pack features some punchy drums and distorted guitar samples, suitable for rocking out with your favorite sampler.
- Delectable Records Label Sampler 3 features a set of free sounds from several commercial sound libraries by Delectable Records. The pack contains a nice collection of house loops and samples, along with some useful MIDI patterns. You’ll need to sign up for a free user account at Loopmasters in order to download the freebie pack.
- Bluezone Ambient Breaks is a loop library by Bluezone Corporation. It’s a commercial release, however the product page also features a taster pack which is a completely free download (no need to register for a user account, either).
In addition to the freebies listed above, here’s a special one for Linux users. U-He has started a public test of Linux versions of their plugins and you can grab the free public betas on this page.
