Noverture Vol. 1 is an interesting sound collection featuring over 300 MB of high quality field recordings. The library is offered for download on a pay what you want basis by Gravitas Recordings.
The included sounds are grouped into three categories. The first folder contains 71 indoor recordings, featuring the sounds of various home appliances and other objects. The second folder contains a small set of instrument recordings. The third and final folder features 66 recordings which were captured in various outdoor locations. The overall quality of the included sounds is very high and the library is definitely worth the download if you want to expand your collection of field recordings and foley sound effects.
Gravitas Recordings are inviting everyone interested to create a track using the sounds provided in Noverture Vol. 1 and upload it to their SoundCloud group which was created for this purpose (more info available on the product page linked below). The best tracks will be featured on the product page and across their social media profiles.
The pack is offered for download on a pay what you want basis. The suggested donation amount of $5 is definitely a fair price, considering the amount and quality of audio material included in the pack. It is also possible to download the library completely free of charge by entering $0 as the donation amount and adding the product to your shopping cart. Once you’ve added the product to your shopping cart and filled out the required info, the download link will be delivered to you via email.
I’m still waiting for a confirmation about whether or not the sounds included in the pack are available for royalty free use in commercial music projects. I’ll update the article as soon as I receive an official confirmation from Gravitas Recordings.
UPDATE: As confirmed by Gravitas Recordings, the sounds included in this pack are 100% royalty free. Enjoy!
