Without any doubt, G-Stomper VA-Beast Synthesizer is one of the finest virtual synthesizers for Android devices. I’ve tried the demo version several months ago and I was positively surprised by the instrument’s complexity and low latency performance. I also liked the sound (not a breathtaking VA experience by any means, but more than respectable for an Android app) and the only thing which didn’t really click with me was the interface which requires quite a bit of scrolling up and down when editing patches.
But apart from that minor drawback (which is totally understandable since we’re talking about an app for handheld devices after all), it’s an awesome virtual instrument. Being someone who started getting into music making apps for Android only recently, it felt a bit weird to me to carry such a beast of a synthesizer around in my pocket! It has a full-blown subtractive synthesis engine, along with an advanced step sequencer, an awesome effects section, MIDI control capability and tons of other good stuff.
Anyways, the full version of G-Stomper VA-Beast Synthesizer can be yours for free if you download it from the Amazon Appstore by May 16th. It will be linked to your user account on Amazon, so you can install it and uninstall it as many times as you want (and use it on multiple devices, too) even after the freebie offer expires.
