Packing nearly 400 MB of audio material, 80’s Future Retro Minipack is a superb collection of analogue synthesizer multi-samples, sound effects and one shot drum samples formatted for use with Ableton Live. Luckily for non-Ableton users, all of the sounds are also available as WAV files which are compatible with pretty much any sampler instrument and digital audio workstation on today’s market. The WAV samples are all clearly labeled and located in the Samples/Imported folder. Ableton Live users can also take advantage of the included project files for Live 9.

The team at F9 Audio has sampled a range of analogue synthesizers and drum machines for this release, including some of the all-time classics such as the Roland Jupiter-8 and Obeheim OBX-A. Needless to say, both the multi-samples and the one shot content sound exceptionally well, my favorite part of the pack being the analogue synth SFX samples which are totally awesome. The library is a worthy addition to anyone’s sound arsenal, although my guess is that synthwave and chillwave producers will find it particularly useful.

The main focus of F9 Audio is providing loops and stems that are completely mix-ready. The company specializes in crafting template files and stems for electronic music production. For a free taste of their recent work, check out the free version of the F9 Audio Drumtrax loop library.
