F9 Audio has announced Trinity Drum Kits V1, a free multi-format collection of drum samples capturing the iconic sounds of Roland TR-808, Roland TR-909 and Linn LM-1 drum machines.
This is the first release in what will be a series of free drum machine sample packs by F9 Audio. The first sample pack is offered as a free download from their website for a limited time only, so make sure to claim your free copy of the kit before January 2016. To download the sample pack for free, simply add it to your shopping cart on the product page linked below and complete the checkout procedure. A valid email address is required.
Trinity Drum Kits V1 contains 45 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format, featuring the sounds of three legendary hardware drum machines: Roland TR-808, Roland TR-909 and Linn LM-1. The raw sounds have been treated with high end studio gear, resulting in a wonderful and unique sounding collection of classic drum machine hits. The collection is worth checking out even if you already own a large amount of drum machine samples, since these one shots have a distinct punchy sound that is tweaked to perfection and 100% production ready.
It’s worth noting that the F9 Audio team has provided instrument patches for pretty much every major sampler and DAW out there (full list available in the downloads section below). Of course, you can always use the provided WAV files directly in your digital audio workstation or sampler instrument of choice, even if you don’t own any of the supported products. The patches are very well made and most of them include customized user interfaces with different sets of on-screen controls, depending on the platform. On a related note, F9 Audio has announced the release of GRID V1.0, a premium collection of vintage synthesizer loops and samples. The product is priced at £29.95 and contains over 4 GB of royalty free audio material.
