New Loops has released Free Trap Kit Vol. 1, a free collection of trap samples taken from their commercial Trap Monsters Vol. 1 sample library.
New Loops is a new sound design label launched by Biome Digital. The company’s aim is to deliver the same high quality products and service as before, while providing sound libraries that support a wider range of music styles and genres.
Their first freeware release called Free Trap Kit Vol. 1 is a free trap sample library containing 20 audio loops and 16 one shot samples in 24-bit WAV format. Apart from the WAV samples and loops, the library also contains the patches for Ableton Live, NI Battery, NI Kontakt and Propellerhead Reason. All included content is royalty free for use in free and commercial music projects.
The quality of the included sounds is top notch. The trap sample kit, although small in size, is 100% mix ready and it sounds very good. The kit consists of two bass drums, one clap, one snare, seven percussion/SFX sounds and five synth samples. It is perfect for jamming and quickly sketching out new musical ideas.
The included loops are pretty good as well, although using the provided one shot samples definitely leaves more room for creativity. The pack includes a range of percussion loops, melodies, drum loops and four fully mixed trap loops. The library can be download completely free of charge from the New Loops website, although a working email address is required.
