Get Audified STA Delay For $1 @ Pluginboutique ($49 Value)

Pluginboutique has launched a no-brainer deal on the STA Delay analog-style delay VST/AU plugin by Audified. Regularly priced at $49, the plugin can be purchased for just $1 until July 30th, 2018.

STA Delay is a stereo delay effect which enhances the processed audio signal with five different flavors of tube-style saturation. Audified describes the plugin as the perfect tool for recreating classic dub-style delay effects or simply adding a bit of dirt and grit to the audio signal on the input. The built-in tube emulation works great for processing vocals, basslines, keys, and especially digital sound sources which lack character. With five different distortion modes on offer, it’s easy to find the type of saturation that will work well with your audio material.

The control scheme is pretty standard, with adjustable input gain, delay time, decay, intensity, stereo width (with optional ping pong delay mode), HPF/LPF, and saturation parameters. The delay time control (labeled Tempo on the user interface) is a bit unusual as it uses BPM values instead of milliseconds or note values to define the signal delay. For added convenience, a tap tempo button is also provided to enable quick delay time adjustments on the fly, particularly in live performance situations.

Apart from choosing the distortion type, the user can also define the amount of saturation that is applied to the signal. While testing the plugin, I preferred using STA Delay as a moderately saturated dub delay effect. However, it can also be used as a vocal thickener with subtle saturation, a distorted slapback delay for guitars or even a drone generator with tube saturation cranked all the way up.
