Waves H-Comp Is FREE For A Limited Time (WORKING AGAIN)

Waves Audio offers the H-Comp ($179 value) plugin as a free download via Raytown Productions, and the offer expires today.

Raytown Productions and Waves Audio teamed up to offer the H-Comp as a free download for a limited time. The offer started 1 day ago, and it ends today, so hurry up!

We recently gave away Sibilance on Bedroom Producers Blog, so here’s another chance to add a Waves Audio freebie to your mixing arsenal.

H-Comp has been around for a long time, so it doesn’t really need an introduction. It is a versatile compressor plugin that works especially well on drums and the master bus.

The plugin combines the modeled behavior of transformers, tubes, and transistors to apply an analog-style sound to the signal. It also features an analog-modeled release behavior, the ability to BPM-sync the release, and a brickwall limiter on the output to prevent excess peaks.

If you like compressors with a vintage vibe, check out our free BPB Dirty LA plugin. It’s a freeware compressor based on vintage limiting amplifiers.

On a related note, Waves Audio is currently running the Year End Sale, offering plugins from $9.99 and a 50% OFF discount on bundles and upgrades. Use the code BUNDLE50 at checkout.

H-Comp is available in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin formats for Windows and macOS. The time-limited free download offer expires today. Find more info in the video below.

To claim your free copy of H-Comp, visit the page linked below, and click the blue GET H-COMP HYBRID COMPRESSOR FREE button. Please note that you will need to sign up for a Waves Audio user account. Waves Central is needed to download and activate the plugin.

UPDATE: BPB readers are reporting that the offer is, for some reason, only working in Firefox and Safari (thank you all for the helpful info in the comments)!

Haha, thanks for spotting that PureFire! There are so many articles this time of the year that I don’t know what I’m typing anymore. Fixed! :D

  2. It’s not expired/ended. It literally just worked for me a couple minutes ago. H-Comp Hybrid Compressor V14.0.0 : ACQUIRED!

  3. This “on-again/off-again” relationship with Waves’ H-Comp giveaway seems to be…off again.

Waves’ site says the offer has expired as of 11:30 AM (ET) on December 22.

  4. If it’s saying expired, try a different browser. Chrome wasn’t working – some said Safari worked for them but no luck. Then I tried Firefox and that one had the normal get this plugin message. So weird.

  5. Just plain correct

You need to download a different browser if you’re on chrome?…. Waves sucks. A bunch of ponytail having, bifocal wearing, anal DRM obsessed, technologically incompetent nerds who’s company is way passed it’s heyday.

Hey guys! Your waves update plan expired! You have to pay us yearly to support our plugins! Spectrasonics has been updating and expanding your synth for a decade? Rewarding you for giving them 200 bucks 11 years ago with constant improvements and support? Well those guys are probably laundering money or something! Gimme some more money or your compressor goes away! I hope you didn’t do anything important with it!
