All Audio Plugins By Recluse Audio Are Now FREE

Recluse Audio offers all of its VST plugins for FREE download.

If you’re into more esoteric sound design, then the headline might have you genuinely excited.

Recluse Audio is making it so all of their current plugins are free. You’ve got five individual plugins and a Max4Live library to play with now.

So, what’s included in this package? You can access Pulsar 2.0, Reflections, Auto Visualizer, Flanger, Pulsar Vintage, and Rompler.

Out of these six items, I’m awfully fond of Pulsar 2.0. This is an insane pulsar train generator, which actually allows you to do things like set the fundamental frequency to a specific rhythm. It pairs quite well with external modulators and other effects.

Flanger is quite nice, but the interface is a bit busy, but I like the core sound of the effect well enough. It sounds great on quite a few sorts of material, especially on plucks and clean guitar lines.

Reflections is a straight-to-the-point delay and reverb module. Diffusion is the order of the day, and it certainly sounds nice on pads and other atmospheric elements.

It isn’t bogged down in the details of creating a lush environment. It mostly stays out of the way, so you can shape things how you’d like.

Rompler is super quick to dial in and functions as a basic sampler/rompler, as the name would suggest. You can drag and drop files as you’d like while also having control of the sound with a standard ADSR envelope.

Overall, I wasn’t wowed with this one, but I use Redux, so I might be quite spoiled when it comes to sampler options.

Auto Visualizer creates real-time visuals with your Ableton project. I’m not an Ableton user, so other users might have to chime in on how well it fares compared to more bespoke visualization methods.

The collection is rounded out by Pulsar Classic, which isn’t quite as fully featured as its newer counterpart. It still is quite a fun tool that is just begging for some outside modulators.

All of the Recluse Audio plugin library is free forever, so you’ve got some time to snag everything. Supported platforms are Windows and Mac. All products support VST3 and AU.
