Vox Samples Drops FREE Drift Pitch Vibrato Effect Plugin

Vox Samples released the free Drift Pitch vibrato effect plugin for Mac and Windows. 

Drift Pitch is a 64-bit exclusive release for VST3 on Windows or VST3 and AU for macOS. 

Vox Samples describes the plugin as “easily customizable and super powerful,” stating that it can “add a vibrato effect to any sound without degrading the quality.”

If you like no-frills designs, you’ll love Drift Pitch, as the plugin only has four controls.

It features Speed, Vibrato, and Mix knobs and a Sync toggle. 

Speed alters the speed of the pitch change, Vibrato the range and amount of vibrato, and Mix alters the wet/dry signal ratio. 

The Sync changes whether the Speed knob is synced or unsynced with the BPM of your project. 

There doesn’t seem to be an official demo from Vox Samples that showcases Drift Pitch, however, there is already a user demo available on YouTube.  

Listening to the plugin in action shows that despite the simple control layout of Drift Pitch, you can get quite a variety of sounds through the interaction of the available parameters.

The boffins at Vox Samples have been busy little bees lately, as just last week, the team also released the free Aurora Air Enhancer plugin.

This plugin has a very similar three-knob design as the Drift Pitch, and like the Drift Pitch, it’s available for Windows (VST3) and macOS (VST3, AU) in 64-bit only.

Vox Samples states that the Aurora Air Enhancer will “add a pristine high end to your mix easily.”

The plugin features the following parameters: Air for controlling the amount of high-end signal to boost, Freq to change the target frequency to boost, and Gain to adjust the output volume and the amount of saturation and distortion added to the high-frequency signal.
