September sales over at Plugin Boutique continue, and for a limited time, you can get VocalSynth 2 for $29.99, which is 85% off the regular price.
This offer lasts until September 29th, so don’t miss out on this classic. Now, let’s take a closer look at the plugin.
VocalSynth 2 is described as an “immersive vocal experience”. It is very powerful with 5 main modules, pitch and voicing control, as well as a stompbox-style fx section.
The five modules include Biovox, Vocoder, Compuvox, Talkbox, and Polyvox. I don’t know about you but I definitely haven’t heard of some of these before.
Each module is essentially like a synthesizer, making VocalSynth 2 a really powerful and one-of-a-kind plugin for vocal processing.
You can even blend between the 5 modules to create your own custom sounds. I’ve been able to produce everything from demon-like voices to vocoders and more using VocalSynth 2.
The Biovox module is particularly interesting and is one of the new additions in VocalSynth 2. It essentially reverse-engineers the human voice, and lets you “manipulate your biological imprint”.
Say you want more nasality in your voice? No problem. Or even more “breathy-ness”? No need to re-track, as you can do these and more with BioVox.
You can even go crazy with vowel modification and some other synth-like features that are truly unique to VocalSynth 2.
On the bottom panel you’ll find the “stompbox” section with tons of fun effects like Distort, Transform, Shred, and Ring Mod.
You can play this plugin in 3 ways. Auto mode is closer to conventional vocal processing, where you can create harmonies, additional voices, and more with the plugin.
MIDI and Sidechain mode use external sources to manipulate the vocal. That way, you can essentially use VocalSynth 2 like a vocoder or talkbox and beyond. Very cool!
I have to say, one thing I love about this plugin is the fact that it doesn’t overwhelm you with too many controls in the modules.
You can create amazing vocal sounds with the basic settings. However you can view the advanced settings in each module for even more tweakability, if you like.
All in all, VocalSynth 2 is an awesome plugin for creating vocal layers, unique voices, and even other kinds of sound design.
VocalSynth 2 runs on 64-bit Windows and macOS machines, in VST3, AU, and AAX formats. Note that VST2 is no longer supported.

onThis seems great. Do you know if it can be used for sound design? I mean, I can create cool things with it without to use my voice, for example?

ondo you maybe want to know if this is just a processor or if it also generates sound?
i cannot answer that question, but maybe this helps to express the question in a better way.

onWell, it’s called Vocal “Synth”, so one can expect that it generates sound. I suggest watching some demos on YouTube to find out.

onOh, that’s it. :)
Does it also generates sounds?
