Mastering.com is currently giving away the Bassroom mix and master EQ plugin, plus live mentoring sessions, for users who start a seven-day membership trial.
If you want to pick up the freebie, better get in quick as you have to sign up before 10 AM on October 19, 2024.
The timezone for the termination of the offer isn’t specified, but there is a countdown timer running on the giveaway page you can reference.
Bassroom is a 64-bit-only plugin for macOS and Windows that’s normally priced at $64.
The plugin is a final mix and mastering EQ that’s designed to quickly deliver “flawless low-end balance”.
Bassroom has the special feature of being able to suggest genre-tailored EQ changes. You can hear a before and after of how it works on the product page on the Mastering the Mix site.
Mastering.com states that the giveaway will deliver a lifetime perpetual license for the plugin.
The second part of the giveaway is five free 15-minute live mentoring sessions.
This offer allows you to get feedback on your mixes and other tips via a Zoom video call with a pro producer, artist, or engineer.
I could definitely see how the mentorship program could be handy. If I had that kind of thing available in the early days of learning how to mix and master, then I’d wager my results probably would have improved a lot quicker.
Membership on the site also includes other features, such as exclusive courses covering recording, producing, mixing, and mastering.
You also get access to the Mastering.com private student community, where you could go for some additional guidance in between mentorship sessions.
Starting a free seven-day trial requires creating an account on the site and, unsurprisingly, providing a credit card. Providing a phone number is on the form, but that part is optional.
You can cancel any time, so if you’re only interested in getting the freebies, be sure to remember to cancel before the seven days are up and you get charged.
Mastering.com offers two subscription tiers, with the base tier offering one credit per month for $49 monthly. The credit can be used to book a mentoring video call.
The second tier includes four credits a month for $129 monthly. Both tiers also include five free bonus credits.
Check out the deal: Bassroom (FREE for Mastering.com users starting a seven-day membership trial before October 19th)

onThe Mastering com guyz are bit annoying to be honest.
Moses
onI find it annoying that they don’t have other payment options, not everyone has a credit card. This is again some money grabbing scheme in my opinion!

onSome companies implement this method of asking for a credit card for a free trial. If you forget to unsubscribe before the trial period runs out, you’ll get charged.
Requesting a refund is a PIA, as some T&As indicate that charges are non-refundable. It’s also common to get hit with the “You must have read and understood the T&A before accepting them”.

onNope!

onWhy are they making it so hard to find out how to cancel said membership? I can’t find anything anywhere.

onI must’ve missed this, but wasn’t ST4 just a dollar a few weeks ago?
Freddy
onYes, ST4 is $1, ST4 MAX is $30.
But, on the IK page there are some interesting offer as well:
– SampleTank 4 Special Edition –> $99.99
– SampleTank 4 MAX v2 –> $199.99
Yes, more expensive, but also way more content.
So, depending on your budget and your needs, it’s certainly worth comparing editions and prices. But if you just want a bargain, go for the $1 option ;-)
Rafael
onHonestly, I was interested in the plugin until I found out that I need to provide my personal details and credit card.
