Air Music Tech launched its new Multiband Filterbank plugin on Friday and is offering it for free from now until December 2, 2024, saving you $99.
Multiband Filterbank is a release for Windows (VST2, VST3, AAX), macOS (VST2, VST3, AAX, AU, desktop standalone), and MPC (standalone).
Air Music Tech describes the plugin as offering the sound, energy, and flavor of classic hardware multiband filters with a modern workflow.
The plugin is designed around the features, precision, and quirks of legendary hardware filters and is designed to deliver accuracy in sonic sculpting and shaping.
To get the freebie, apply the coupon MULTIBAND2024 from the cart, then provide your name and email address.
You’ll then need to set up a free inMusic profile (if you don’t already have one), and then you can download the product from within the inMusic profile interface.
Let’s dig into exactly what Multiband Filterbank offers.
The plugin covers all genres, can operate as a sculpting and mixing tool, and even provides sound design on any kind of audio track.
You can use it to isolate sounds or use the Mod and Envelope controls to make unique rhythms for your tracks.
Air Music Tech embedded a SoundCloud player with 17 audio demos on the product page if you want to hear what that sounds like in practice.
The demos show the filter in action on drums, guitar, and synth in various genres, with a wide array of effects and sounds on display.
I could see how Multiband Filterbank could really spice up your mixes and production by adding some extra movement and excitement to performances.
Alternatively, you could start with a musical idea, alter it with the plugin, and use that unique sound as the basis for building a track around.
If you want to see how the plugin parameters work in practice, then Air Music Tech also launched a walkthrough video on YouTube.
The plugin is built around a main spectrum graphical display and three sections, which are Low Band, Mid Band, and you guessed it, High Band.
Each of the three bands has Cutoff, Resonance, and Envelope Modulation, and you can choose from the following filter types: Low Pass, Band Pass, High Pass, Notch, and Peak.
There is also a Pre-drive function you can use to add some grit and grime to your sound before it hits the filter.
Last but not least, Air Music Tech has included a preset selector to help kick off your sonic experimentations with some ready-made sounds.

onIt does not change to $0, I suspect they had limited licenses but stayed around to create a database?
Stephen
onYou might need to scroll all the way down after pressing Validate to see final amount. I was doing on mobile. Subtotal stood same but at the end of the page, the final amount became 0.
Numanoid
onYou of course double checked that the total at checkout was zero, before pressing the purchase button ?

onStrange. I’m having the same problem, too. The validate button animates upon clicking, but it never cuts the price. I tried to check out, but saw that I was still to be billed. I didn’t proceed.
lars
onI just tried this over and over after reading all the comments here, then even wrote an email to airmusic, then tried again, clicked the validate twice and there it was …. $0.
Hope that helps, now it is registered on the inmusic page and from there it is downloads downloads downloads….
super annoying but i doubt they wanted to trap people, just a glitch (pun) on something, anyway click the validate twice and it should work as it did for me.
Elektro Pirates
onThanks, lars. Kudos to you, mate. Your workaround worked! Instead of refreshing the page, repeatedly hitting the validate button eventually slashed the price. I got my copy today.
Today’s the last day to grab this plug-in. I hope it won’t be too late for everyone reading this, and may they get a copy for themselves.
Riccardo
onThanks!

onFYI you also need to install InMusic’s Software Center to download the plugin.
Bob
onYou can download the demo and activate through that. It’s the same installer you get from the software center.
MRugaW
onI am unable to download the demo from AIR website. I keep getting the “403 – Forbidden” message. I get the same message from InMusic website when I try to download the Software Center. I think I’m gonna let this one go.
Bob
onThe promo ends today so maybe try downloading in a day or two. The site is probably acting up due to the increased traffic.
PureFire
onAs “The Sound Of Lex” said:
“the Demo version can be activated without the Software Center app, only with your account”
This helped me & works
Click “try it free” to download the trial / demo version From the link (copy & paste) below
airmusictech.com/effects/multiband-filterbank/
Can confirm it works on MacOS 10.15 Catalina
For Mac, you need to open System Preferences / Security & Privacy / General… if you trust the file, click “open anyway” to install
Open DAW & plugin, click to activate, your default web browser will open & needs cookies enabled, then sign into the website, go back to DAW & plugin, click through the prompts to manually activate, done

onWASTE OF TIME, IT DOESN’T WORK. THEY just requiere you to sign up and receive your coupon but it is the same coupon but it doesn’t works.

onThis seems not to work correctly on their website. Adding the promocode and validating it decreases not the amount of money to 0 €. If I had proceed the checkout they would charge me 99 €.

onSame here, Code does nothing to the cart. maybe they run out of licenses?! Tried different browsers as well
Steve brown
onyep same here, have tried several times.
yambu
onThe procedure is too time-consuming, ultimately I can look forward to a free plugin that lives up to its name.
Andrew
onIt’s air music technology screwing people over again.

lars
onWhat they do in the past?
Andrew

onHi! To all with problems while redeem code. I had the same problem and it was caused by Cloudflare dns blocking requests. So change your dns settings in browser for other server (i’ve changed to nextdns) and try again.
You are welcome! :)
Stephen Charlton
onHey guys, it was working for me when I wrote this article. I tested it and the code redeemed properly. It seems it started not working at some point later during the promotion through.
sake
oni actually got it to redeem the code after couple tries. not your fault, something was fishy with their shop solution there for a bit.
Gentle Defender
onDiscount still works on December 3rd.
ZonkerShock
onReading all the comments from people flipping out about not getting the code to work or having to pay for it [when the plugin was completely free] or having to make an inMusic account [The horror!] or having to deal with oh so many steps in order to get a free high quality Vst gave me some much-needed laughs this afternoon. Haha Thank you, everyone!
5 Stars! Would read again!

onTotally right ZonkerShock 😁
Never ceases to amaze me how often people complain about a free plugin process.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…. if ya want it, get it. If ya don’t, don’t!!
So simple.
I got this plugin…. process was easy, and I like the results it gives 🕺🎶🤘
