What is Camel Strip?
Camel Strip combines several mixing tools in one very handy interface. It starts with the Input Drive to add saturation before the signal reaches the EQ, gate, compressor, and effects sections.
The EQ offers three characters named EQ1A, 73, and 4k. Whichever one you select, the controls are limited to Low, Mid, and High gain, so this is all about choosing a broad vintage-style flavor and working quickly instead of performing precise corrective EQ.
The compressor follows the same idea. FAIR, 2A, and 76 modes provide three different flavors, but the processing amount is controlled by a single large knob. The threshold-controlled gate between those sections lets you choose a hard or soft knee.
Camel Strip also includes Spring and Plate reverb modes. The effect amount is adjustable in the same panel, making it easy to give vocals, drums, guitars, or synths some space without loading a separate reverb plugin.
Blend mixes the fully processed signal with the dry input, which is handy when the full channel strip adds more color or compression than you need. Width expands the processed stereo image without altering the mono component, while the output control handles final level matching.
You can switch the individual processing sections on and off, and oversampling is available to reduce aliasing in the nonlinear stages. The interface is resizable, and the plugin includes factory presets as starting points.

Camel Strip runs on macOS 10.15 or newer in VST3, AU, and AAX formats. The Windows version requires Windows 8 or newer and supports 64-bit VST3 and AAX hosts.
