antto has released a screenshot and a video demo of the (soon to be released) new version of Venom VB-303, the finest freeware Roland TB-303 emulation out there.
You could say it’s close to a release. I might call it v0.99 when it is usable enough, then polish it a bit and fix any bugs which get discovered by users and put this into v1.0 finally.
You can track the development of Venom VB-303 in the official Venom thread @ KVR Forums. If you’ve never heard of this plugin before, take a look at my previous Venom VB-303 post for some older screenshots and for a great demo video by Atomsphere22.
The new version of Venom VB-303 will be completely controllable using a MIDI keyboard, as demonstrated in the demo video embedded below. It will also feature a redesigned filter stage and a completely rebuilt sequencer.
The new GUI also looks brilliant (although I really loved the miniature style of the old Venom design). There’s no official release date yet, but chances are the new version will be released rather soon.
Venom VB-303 will be available as a freeware VSTi plugin for Windows (made with SynthEdit). Looking forward to this one!
