Elements Audio and Sink Electronica (aka sinkmusic) have released MaxxSonixx, a freeware sonic maximizer effect for Windows and Mac.
I thought i would let you know about a couple of free VST sonic enhancers. Basically, they are inspired by hardware processors like BBE & others (2 band exciters), and were released on the Reaper forum as JS plugins.
MaxxSonixx is available for free download via KVR Audio (305kB download size, 32-bit & 64-bit VST plugin for Windows & Mac). Elements Audio has released another free sonic maximizer effect which is available for download on the same page.
The plugin was released as a JS effect, but was re-coded with C++ and released in VST plugin format. A standalone version of the plugin is also available.
I still haven’t tested MaxxSonixx, but the comments on KVR have been very positive so far. Many thanks to Irion Da Ronin for pointing me to this freeware plugin!
