Calgar C Instruments has released Saturn V, a freeware virtual analog synthesizer in VSTi plugin format for Windows.
Saturn V is an analog style synthesizer. It features multiple oscillators. Each and every function can be MIDI mapped which is useful for live use.
Saturn V is available for free download via Calgar C Instruments (8.1MB download size, 32-bit VSTi plugin format for Windows).
The plugin features an X-Y which can be used to control various sound parameters (the connections are made using the built-in mod matrix). It also comes with 4 built-in effects and a set of 128 factory presets.
On top of that Saturn V also features an arpeggiator and a trance gate. I’m not looking for any more virtual analog synths to be honest, but this one might be a good choice for someone who’s looking for an all-rounder synthesizer for live use and such.
