Alex Shore has released JP-4c, an emulation of the Roland JP-8000 synthesizer for Native Instruments Reaktor.
The JP-4c is built upon a combination of research conducted by myself and other individuals, with the patch being able to effectively emulate the original Super Saw’s unique timbre.
JP-4c is available for free download via Alex Shore’s website (5.1MB download size, contains 1 instrument in ENS format for NI Reaktor).
The download also includes a manual and a detailed analysis of the use of the Supersaw oscillator within trance music. Apparently, a lot of research went into modeling all of the characteristics of this unique oscillator type while creating the JP-4c ensemble.
You’ll need the full version of NI Reaktor in order to use this instrument for more than 20 minutes!
