Rancorsoft has released VinylSound, a freeware vinyl noise instrument in VSTi plugin format for Windows (created with FlowStone).
VinylSound is a VST instrument pre-loaded with 13 sound loops of real vinyl record pops and clicks. VinylSound can quickly create a realistic vintage feel in your own recordings!
VinylSound is available for free download via Rancorsoft (61.9MB download size, 32-bit VST plugin format for Windows).
The plugin comes pre-loaded with 13 different vinyl pop and noise recordings which can be triggered using MIDI notes. It’s a handy tool for adding background vinyl noise to tracks without much hassle.
I prefer using vinyl samples and layering them myself, however this instrument gives you quick and easy control over the pitch and volume of the vinyl noise sound. Take a look at the demo video embedded below to get a better idea about how this thing works.
