Cy Brazanthr has informed us that he has released CySnaps, a free collection of finger snap sounds captured with a Samson Go USB condenser microphone.
Hey there! I recorded some more free samples for people. This time, it’s finger snaps and I was hoping you could share these too.
People can use these for pretty much any purpose. If you’re including them in a sample pack, just give credit. If you’re using them in a song, don’t bother crediting.
There are fourteen snap samples here and each one of them is three stacked snaps. They’re available in both their original speed and played back at half-speed because they sounded more like finger snaps that way. Both speeds of all snaps are also available in mono.
I meant to include a lot of snaps just for round-robinning (like I did with the claps) but really each of these sounds pretty different so you may prefer to pick your favorite snaps and just use those. All these snaps were recorded on a Samson Go USB Condenser Microphone.
CySnaps sample pack is available for free download via DropBox (1.11 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 56 finger snap sounds in 24-bit WAV format).
It’s always nice to have a set of good quality finger snap samples at your disposal, as they can add a great live vibe to sequenced drum and percussion grooves. The snap sounds provided in Cy’s sample pack sound great and offer a lot of variety. It contains mono and stereo versions of each sound, as well as a slowed down version for a more laid back style.
Many thanks to Cy for sharing these samples for free with all of us, I hope he’ll release more similar packs in the future! If you like the finger snapping samples in the CySnaps pack, you should also check out the previously released CyClaps sample packs which offers a nice selection of clap samples.
Cy Brazanthr has recently published an album for his Girls With Depression music project. The album titled My Crappy Yeezus is also available for free download and streaming via Bandcamp.
