Timbral Explorations is a brand new free sound bank by ZenSound, featuring a set of 64 original patches for the brilliant Zebralette freeware synthesizer by U-He.
The sound bank contains some really nice patches for atmospheric and cinematic tracks. Quite inspiring stuff if you enjoy playing around with huge evolving pads and quirky drones. The bank contains 64 patches in total, covering pads, drones, bells, some nice sequenced bass sounds, keys, leads, etc. There’s quite a bit of variety in the included patches, but they all follow a similar dreamy feel and style, which is pretty neat.
This is the fourth free sound bank by ZenSound and you should definitely check out their free banks for Charlatan, Tyrell N6 and Aalto if you like this release. Timbral Explorations was designed for use with Zebralette, which is an awesome freeware virtual synthesizer by U-He. It is based on the building blocks of their legendary Zebra synthesizer and it’s a powerful sound design tool, often overlooked for some reason. You should definitely download it if you don’t already have it installed in your DAW.
Zebralette comes pre-loaded with some interesting factory presets and you can further expand its arsenal with this free offering from ZenSound. The synthesizer is available for Windows and Mac and you can grab it for free via U-He.
The sound bank is available for direct free download and there’s no need to provide your email address or register for a user account. The download pack contains a set of free patches which you can instantly load with Zebralette.
