Rast Sound has introduced Vocal Morphs II, a freely downloadable vocal sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt (also includes samples in WAV format).
Vocal Morphs II is a free vocal instrument library featuring a selection of vocal samples from Rast Sound’s premium Mideast Vocals and Ceremonial Vocals sound packs. The vocal sounds included in Vocal Morphs II were processed and prepared for use in modern electronic music. The instrument can fit a wide range of music genres, from house and techno to more atmospheric tunes in the styles of Burial and Boards of Canada.

These range from sustained vocal tones to glitched vocal hits and stuttering vocal phrases. The user can freely adjust various performance parameters such as the volume envelope, filter cutoff, stereo width, tuning, and portamento time. It is also possible to tweak the four built-in effects (reverb, delay, chorus, and distortion).
Do keep in mind that the full version of Kontakt is required to use the provided NKI patch. If you use Kontakt Player, the performance the patch will work with a 15-minute time limit (read more about the Kontakt Player demo mode). Thankfully, the team at Rast Sound has also provided the samples in WAV format, meaning that the library is compatible with virtually any digital audio workstation and sampler instrument on the market.
