Spitfire Audio has released Wurli, a free Wurlitzer electric piano sound library for the freeware LABS virtual instrument plugin.
Wurli is a free LABS sound library. It is based on a set of high-quality Wurlitzer electric piano sounds that were recorded at Spitfire Studios. The samples were captured by Henry Cornish.
Please note that the freeware LABS virtual instrument by Spitfire Audio is required to play the included sounds. LABS is available as a VST, AU, and AAX plugin for all compatible digital audio workstations on PC and Mac. Here is how the team at Spitfire Audio describes the latest LABS sound library:
Made popular in the 60s by legendary rock and jazz musicians, the Wurli is known for its distinctly sharp tone, cutting through your music like a knife. Choose our ‘Super Soft’ presets for a more mellow, soulful tone.
To get your free copy of the LABS Wurli, sign up for a free LABS user account (it’s free) and download the Spitfire Audio App to your computer. The app will be used to install the LABS plugin and to download all add-on packs. All of the LABS sound libraries released so far are 100% free. This is one of the freeware best sample-based instruments on the market right now, along with the SampleTank 4 Custom Shop by IK Multimedia and Komplete Start by Native Instruments.
There are over ten LABS freebies you can download already, with new libraries being released almost every month. We highly recommend the excellent Soft Piano and Amplified Cello Quartet libraries. That said, with the Spitfire Audio App, it’s easy to install all LABS libraries in one go and give them a try.
