Mammoth Audio has released Density Lite, a free cinematic sound library for Native Instruments Kontakt (also includes WAV samples).

Density Lite is a free Kontakt library for modern media composers. It contains 85 individual SFX samples from the full edition of Mammoth Audio’s premium Density library. The included sound effects were created by processing live sound recordings. The result is a versatile collection of modern-sounding SFX for trailers, movie scores, video games, and electronic music.

The library comes with a custom user interface for Native Instruments Kontakt. The interface features two sound slots with adjustable volume, pan, envelope, and pitch parameters. The loaded sample can also be reversed. Each sound slot can hold one of the available sample categories (Braams, Static, Uplift, etc.). Once a group is loaded, the individual samples are accessed by pressing different MIDI notes. The interface also features a pair of built-in channel effects, as well as a dedicated FX section for processing the master channel.

Keep in mind that the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt is required to use Density Lite without any limitations. The library will work in demo mode in the free Kontakt Player plugin.

Users who don’t own Kontakt can load the included WAV samples in any digital audio workstation or sampler plugin. All 85 sound effects are available as WAV files in the Samples folder.

To download your free copy of Density Lite, visit the Free Samples page on Mammoth Audio’s website and submit your email address. You will receive the download link in the confirmation email.
