ChromaBox by W. A. Production
ChromaBox is a $39.90 spectrum exciter that borrows the language of image editing. Instead of presenting another row of frequency bands, it lets you shape the sound with Hue, Saturation, and Luminance controls.
You can start with one of 32 color swatches arranged into Dark, Light, Vivid, and Soft groups. From there, the main controls change the tonal profile, harmonic intensity, and brightness, while Space adds early reflections and Resonate introduces resonant peaks.
Depth scales the complete treatment, so it is easy to back off an interesting setting without rebuilding it. The live spectrum display shows what the processing is doing, and the interface also provides presets, A/B comparison, undo/redo, and resizing.
ChromaBox supports VST3, AU, and AAX hosts on Windows and macOS.
Randomachine by United Plugins
Randomachine by SounDevice Digital is normally €49. It is designed to make repeated samples feel less mechanical by changing six aspects of the sound on every trigger: pitch, formant, distortion, panning, timing, and ambience.
Each effect has its own randomization range, so you can keep the movement subtle or make every hit dramatically different. Setting an effect to zero bypasses it and saves CPU, which is handy if you only need small pitch and timing variations on repeated drums, footsteps, or sound effects.
Randomization can respond to incoming transients, run at a tempo-synced interval, or wait for a MIDI note. The transient mode includes sensitivity control, while MIDI triggering gives you precise control over when a new variation appears.
Randomachine is available in VST3, AU, and AAX formats for Windows and macOS. Installation and code redemption are handled through the free UnitedPluginsManager.
Analog Empire: Brass & Winds by MeldaProduction
Analog Empire: Brass & Winds is a €69 expansion for the free MSoundFactory Player. It starts with more than 30 multisampled sounds captured from real synthesizers and focuses on synthesized brass and woodwind tones.
The dual-layer engine lets you combine two sounds, with independent pitch, drift, and unison controls. There are filter and amplitude envelopes for shaping the patch, and MPE support adds more expressive control if you have a compatible controller.
The effects page covers tremolo, flanger, chorus, delay, shimmer reverb, and lo-fi tape processing. A master section adds high-pass and low-pass filters, three-band EQ, compression, saturation, maximizing, stereo width, and mono control.
This is the least self-contained of the three freebies because it runs inside MSoundFactory Player and installs through MeldaProduction’s MPluginManager. The instrument itself is still yours to keep once the giveaway code is activated.
