Focusrite FAST Bundle Will Be FREE On June 28th (Sign Up Now)

Focusrite will provide the FAST Bundle and a discount on Alan Parson’s Fundamentals of Recording & Music Production course to everyone who registers and attends the Audio Masterclass with Alan Parsons and Julian Colbeck (scheduled for June 28th).

When I hear the name Alan Parsons, my mind immediately plays the vintage Chicago Bulls theme song, and I get an itch to shoot some hoops.

But he is responsible for so much more than composing that legendary track. Alan is a famous audio engineer and music producer who engineered Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon, among many other albums.

Julian Colbeck is a professional keyboard player and author of several books related to music and music production. He worked with Alan to create the “Alan Parsons’ Art and Science of Sound Recording” course.

The duo is hosting the Audio Masterclass on Focusrite’s official YouTube Channel on June 28th. They will share various music production techniques and provide timely advice to music producers entering the industry this year.

We all love free plugins here on BPB, so let’s look at the FAST Bundle in more detail.

The bundle contains five plugins: FAST Compressor, FAST Equaliser, FAST Reveal, FAST Verb, and FAST Limiter. The bundle typically costs $359.85, so getting it for free is quite a steal.

            I, and a lot of people in the comments of the stream, signed up at the point the link was posted in the chat and have not received anything. Many seem to say they used the same email on the page to sign up for the stream on focusrite’s website *after* it had changed from the initial message promising the plugins on sign up to the sign up and attend message. Have these email addresses been blacklisted or something for signing up for what seems to be an email reminder? Other people report using secondary emails and receiving a code using the link on the stream chat, what if people don’t have this option?

            Hello. I fit all the requisites to have received the plugins (good masterclass by the way) but haven’t. I live in Spain, and signed to the webinar through the link, then I checked my mail and didn’t receive any confirmation. I thought that was normal, then I started waiting for the day of the class, and when it arrived I realized that other people had received a confirmation email, so I signed again yesterday morning (morning from here) this time with my academic email instead of my personal email, I received the confirmation immediatly. Then I watched the masterclass as everyone, and used the link to the Bundle, I filled the form and then I forgot about it. Today I just checked my email, and in none of them is there any reference to the plugins. ¿Could it be because I used the personal account to watch the livestream? Or maybe because despite not receiving any confirmation I actually signed the first time? and then got banned for filling the form twice from the same PC?

        What a con, signed up in good faith.then followed their revised process re webinar in a timely manner, still did not get a code to obtain free bundle. Very disappointed, feel conned. I am UK based. Focusrite has blown it on this occasion. They should be honouring the free bundle to all who signed up

          I know right… Focusrite should reconsider about it, they just like waves on steroids,

          manipulation is way beyond than I expect.

          There is alternative from plugin collective which is Ozone, they are paid but totally packed feats that is better than FAST Bundle, or even Plugin Alliance they are damn cheap when Mega Sale is happening.

          Plus free ones that aren’t disappointing, don’t forget MasterMe, it’s so good but CPU intensive sadly.

          btw I lived in Philippines, but the Geo-restriction is disappointing for 3rd or 2nd world though.

        What a disappointment!
        Focusrite could have told us that only certain countries were elegible before we registered with them.
        I registered, and waited indefinitely for the email as promised on the 28th, but heard nothing, not the day after either.

        If it weren’t for these comments I wouldn’t have known what happened :-(

      Yes, the code worked earlier today. It seems that this is a temporary issue on Focusrite’s website (probably due to high traffic) and they are working on fixing it.

    Hello, I have reached to the support regarding the issue, as I had the same issue with un-redeemable coupon, and basically they concluded their response with: “we’re are currently working to resolve this and it should be up and running by tomorrow morning (BST).”

    They should message me too when they do resolve, so if I will be able to redeem – I will post the message :)

    I feel conflicted about all the AI tools.
    I don’t really like it to have a bot do the work for me. I know, it will be done 100% awesome and absolutley perfect as it should be but thats the point i don’t really like. The process of creating something is never about being perfect, its about personal taste and that weird influence of your mind going wild. I do often a lot of things when mastering that fits the current theme of the track i work on which is always different from all other tracks.

    Is art about being perfect?
    Now, the biggest problem with it comes over the time of using this, becoming comfortable using AI tools and no longer taking into account the little details that only happens when you actually create content. At one point a music artist, or what ever artist there is, will unlearn those little things. I really don’t like this.
    This is what makes me ME.

    I try to stay away from all those AI tools, my creation stays pure.
    idk, thought i should say that at least.

      I’m getting a similar message… this is… bizarre, to say the least. Why offer it in so many countries when they “don’t support software sales” in 90% of these countries? I tried almost all of them and it was only available in the US, UK, the EU and a few others– the funniest of all being them supporting software purchases in Italy, but not the Vatican city, LOL! Truly strange. Are we supposed to just choose US or one of these other countries anyways?

        I inquired with support and they got back to me quite quickly with a very kind explanation regarding this. So, sadly, there, indeed, is a list of countries/regions where their products are not available. Hopefully, in the future, they are able to consider expanding to include these countries, because they have really useful plugins.

    I haven’t even received an email. I’m guessing that now you actually need to be there at June 28th and watch the thing live to receive the coupon code. I’ve tried watching courses like these live before, and you always need to install a bunch of software to be able to join, and when you’ve installed the software it still doesn’t work. I don’t get why they don’t just use YouTube live, or something. It’s just a waste of time when 50% of the people who are registred can’t attend just because they are using some worthless useless and buggy software.

      Mmmm… I don’t buy it. I think they got a lot of interest and are now pulling the ol’ bait and switch. It’s like they’re saying if all the unexpected people “attend” the master class, then that will somehow help the support staff (or their content servers) with those people registering the free software. Are the support staff manually adding the keys? Lol oh well I’ll wait patiently for the freeness.

    I’m very confused by the decision Focusrite made regarding this giveaway and promotion. Here’s my analysis as someone who currently works in the marketing/promotion field:

    1. How do you “not anticipate such a huge amount of interest in the Masterclass” from people when you’re doing a FREE TO JOIN masterclass where you give away $400 worth of normally paid plugins.

    Not sure if Focusrite has ever heard of the internet, but it’s a tool that can be used to spread information like an actual wildfire.

    2. Ok, so you panic and shut down servers to limit traffic to your site for the giveaway (similar to what Mastering the Mix did during their giveaway). Fine, no problem there. Goes against what was said in the email to people about being able to redeem the coupon all month, but I understand this response.

    3. You now plan to let users spread the word as much as possible for over 2 weeks, so that now everyone can hit your servers all at the exact same time during the livestream. Really excited to see how your servers handle that!

    So basically 3 weeks of heavy traffic to your site will now be condensed into a 2 hour block where everyone scrambles to get the free plugins, all during an important livestream? I have to hope the stream isn’t dependent on the same server resources as the website’s purchase portal. Or maybe you’ve already started ramping up your server capacity for the livestream, which would be ideal if not completely necessary in this case.

    Why wouldn’t you do a set number of licenses to be redeemed daily like what Mastering the Mix did? It would be first come first serve, with a known amount of strain of your website, spread throughout the month.

    This worked very well for them in the end. Mind you, their giveaway product was significantly less desirable than what you are offering, so a set number of coupon redemptions would be an even better idea than letting everyone hit you all and once.

    They gave away a batch of licenses daily, for a couple of days.

      That’s the general concept. Plenty of people waiting here I suppose. Plus I would even risk the assumption that Focusrite’s reputation is at stake. I guess they will not only make it available during the seminar but long after. Otherwise like someone already mentioned earlier in this topic, they will have major server overload problem, which was only postponed by their decision.

    Funny how the email sent after signing up changed. I signed up shortly after this being posted and the initial email did say “visit below, buy now and use code”. Being confused with this whole promo, i signed up again to make sure i get the plugins romorrow, and now it says “join as live to get access”. But the livestream will be on youtube, so will they just put it in the chat or something? Lol
    Such a mess overall

      At least you got an email after signing up. I’ve tried multiple times and never got a confirmation or even an acknowledgment. Am I actually signed up? It’s anyone guess at this point

    I think we need to register again to be able to get the bundle. Hurry up because people from focusrite said that it will only be available during the stream, so we have like 30 minutes left.

    I outside the list of countries but I will try to redeem using a VPN and I will comeback here to tell the results.

    Thanks a ton to BPB for awaring me, Focusrite, Alan and Julian for both the plugins and great stream. I’ll be applying a lot of what I learned, especially when it comes to learning itself, and not just taking one persons answer as the holy grail.

        Can some that received the email and ‘code’ please outline a successful version of the steps:
        Ex:
        Registered email during master class
        Received email with code to (download or activate) plugins
        Installed vest’s and activated?
        Or maybe BPB can identify the path to success.

          -Attend livestream
          -Click new link they gave out during stream
          -Register email on new link page during stream to redeem unique 100% discount code
          -Wait up to 24 hours for unique 100% discount code to be sent out after the stream ends

          If you didn’t redeem your unique code during the livestream, you’re likely not getting it.

          They probably had 10s of 1000s of scalpers sign up after BPB/telegram/discord/reddit put up the original post, all ready to grab the bundle and dump keys on knobcloud..

          It’s understandable why they had to switch it up. I’m pretty sure the original offer was only intended for a small internal group of people, but the masterclass got leaked, and blew up into this mess.

          Alot of people seem disappointed or outright angry, but they made the best of a bad situation..

    If I could I would pay for the courses by the industry professionals, just for the networking and mentorship opportunities. I spent so many years learning production and mixing online, yet I have no recording knowledge. At this point, I’m like… just give me the formulas.

    Yes I got my code! The webinar was pretty interesting so I’m glad I attended. This is a very useful bundle too, not only does it use AI to config the FX, you can show the settings it picked and adjust further as needed. This is very helpful to get quickly in the ballpark then fine tune afterwards.

    The occurrences related to countries is probably why Fast Bundle is not available for many locations. I discovered this on the live today and I was in doubt, even after completing the registration will I receive the code? Seems a bit disrespectful to me if not.

    i don’t even mind too much not having them, but there is this prompt on all the plugins every time i open a plugin saying there is an error

      I’m pretty sure the “presets” in each app refers to user presets that you edit, save and name yourself. I tested it and if you create and save a user preset, your list of presets shows up there. Mine did

    TOMISLAV ZLATIC, are you in contact with Focursite? Many of my friends and I have not received the code, while others have. I have noticed that those who registered before the event have not received anything, even after completing the second registration during the live session. I hope this is just a delay; otherwise, it would be a huge disappointment and a mockery! Focursite has not provided any information, and it would be a shame on their part.

    Since I got my code and therefore the bundle here is a clarification.
    During the masterclass which was live on Youtube for everyone to see, a link was pinned in the chat.
    Through this link, everyone could sign up again for the bundle. A few hours after the Stream then the codes to unlock the bundle were sent.

    So if you didn’t watch the masterclass and didn’t sign up for the bundle via the link during the broadcast, you won’t get a code for the bundle.

    To participate in the Masterclass at least for a short time or to be there was the least operation. With just over 1000 people during the livestream wanting a bundle worth over $300 for free, I find it completely understandable how Focusrite handled it in the end.

        Yes those who missed the livestream and didn’t sign up through the link during the broadcast not receiving the code would be somewhat understandable.

        However, it appears that many people, including myself, who *did* fill out the form during the broadcast and watched the broadcast from start to finish has yet to receive the code as well.

    Very disappointed with the Focusrite Group, the announced before the event “If you register for the event and sign up for the Focusrite Group in Education email database, you will also receive Focusrite’s FAST Bundle for free.” and “When you join us live, you will be given access to Focusrite’s FAST Bundle of powerful AI plugins, including FAST Compressor, FAST Equaliser, FAST Reveal, FAST Verb and FAST Limiter, 100% free!” was a LIE. In the end the availability of Fast Bundle was limited to a few countries in Europe and the United States, excluding many subscribers. Thank you Focusrite Group for making us a clown.

      Many people IN eligible countries haven’t gotten the code either!

      All in all, yes, very disappointed with Focusrite group. If you say you’re gonna do something, you should do that something.

      (P.s. if you end up getting the code anyways, using a VPN you should be able to do the purchase on Focusrite’s website. I love how they excluded 2nd and 3rd world countries for a free plugin bundle)

    I signed up during the live stream. After registering I got an onscreen confirmation that codes would be sent out within 24 hours of the Webinarium ending. As yet no email but I guess the 24 hours haven’t gone out yet.

    I just received my code and got Fast Bundle for free. And from what I have observed limitation for country origin is only possible if you make your payment. And if you apply your unique code the price will be zero and then just complete your order. I am from India and I didn’t have any problem though.

    hi, want to give an update. i received my code just several hours ago after losing hope.
    my country is excluded from the list. but that exclusion disappeared as soon as i applied the coupon code.
    i did not use any VPN, the code worked well.
    anyway, insights from alan parsons & julian colbeck in the webinar is very helpful for me.

    Thanks BPB. Got it mine, registered in OpenCollective, but it’s something weird. In focusritegroup portal doesn’t show up in my account, and there fore the activation of the plugins doesn’t work. It appears in open collective account as “owned”, but not on focusritegroup portal, and the plugins are stuck into “You’re in demo mode. Buy full version / Continue Demo”. There is something weird going on…

      Login to you account and add the plugin suite to your account. Load one of the Fast plugins into your DAW. Open the plugin and click on it’s “settings” gear. When you get the option to get activation code. Get the activation code and go back to your DAW and past it into the plugins activation screen. The you should be all set with all of the other plugins too. It a pretty smooth process. I did it twice yesterday
