Chiqui-Audio’s new Tiki Instruments ($235) is a Hawaiian instrument library for Kontakt, and the company has also released a free version called Ka’eke’eke.
Both the paid and free versions are for Kontakt and offer “Compatibility with Kontakt Player in demo mode.” Unfortunately, this simply means that the libraries aren’t fully compatible with the free Kontakt Player plugin.
However, you can find numerous free libraries for Kontakt Player on our website.
The free Ka’eke’eke library offers the sound of a Hawaiian idiophone, which is made of hollow bamboo sticks that produce notes when struck.
The entire library is also included as part of the paid Tiki Instruments version.
The free plugin features five factory snapshots, seven stereo samples (48kHz, 24 bits), EQ, compressor, reverb, delay, modulation effects and more.

The library has an uncompressed file size of “over 8.1 MB”.
In the paid version, Tiki Instruments, Chiqui-Audio offers seven instruments, namely u-bass, voices, ukulele, acoustic guitar, lap steel guitar, ka’eke’eke (idiophone), and percussion.
Tiki Instruments has 89 factory snapshots, 10 royalty-free MIDI loops, and 10,819 samples (48kHz, 24 bits).

The uncompressed file size for Tiki Instruments is 10.04 GB, and the full release also includes all the effects and tools that the free version features.
Chiqui-Audio has also included a variety of articulations with key switches for ease of use, as well as performance details such as breaths and sounds obtained when playing the instruments.
The Tiki Instruments product page features a YouTube demo that showcases the instruments together in a song, as well as individual SoundCloud demos for each instrument.

To complete the checkout for the free Ka’eke’eke library, you’ll need to provide an email address and personal information in the format of a billing address.
Tiki Instruments is the latest release from Chiqui-Audio, and prior to that, the company dropped the free Strato Stratocaster Guitar Pack.
Chiqui-Audio offers eight free releases on its website, as well as a large number of paid releases, many of which feature a nautical theme or traditional instruments.
A large part of the company’s output is released in the form of Kontakt libraries.
Tiki Instruments and Ka’eke’eke are available for Kontakt 6.3.1 or higher and Kontakt Player 6.3.1 or higher.
Kontakt 7 and Kontakt Player are available in 64-bit only for Windows (VST3, AAX, standalone) and Mac (VST3, AU, AAX, standalone.)
