Dreamtonics has made its new Vocoflex voice transformation plugin available for just $159.20, which is 20% off the list price of $199. We are exploring the new software and giving away a copy of the Dreamtonics Vocal Creation + 2 Voices Bundle to one lucky BPB reader!
This introductory deal for the Windows and macOS release runs until August 31, 2024.
Vocoflex is a real-time, AI-powered voice creation and transformation plugin.
Dreamtonics states that the plugin enables “changing voice gender, blending male and female voices together, creating backing vocals and other-worldly voices, writing vocal ideas and demos, experimenting with voice extrapolation – all with access to unlimited voice types.”
Users can specify a target voice by importing a voice recording, and then Vocoflex can replace the timbre of any input voice with the target.
As part of the Vocoflex launch, Dreamtonics has also launched three vocal creation bundles.
The three bundles pair Vocoflex with Synthesizer V Studio Pro and additional voice databases.
Dreamtonics is offering the Dreamtonics Vocal Creation Bundle ($199.20), Dreamtonics Vocal Creation + 2 Voices Bundle ($279.20), and Dreamtonics Vocal Creation + 9 Voices Bundle ($559.20).
The prices listed above are the introductory deal prices, which are reduced from the list prices by 10%, 20%, and 30%, respectively.
Note that even the basic bundle includes one voice database, which is Mai.
Synthesizer V Studio Pro is Dreamtonics singing synthesis software, which “can easily create realistic-sounding vocal covers or original songs by simply sketching out a melody and filling in the lyrics.”
These bundles are designed to extend Dreamtonics’ vocal tools capabilities.
While discussing what the bundles offer, the developer explains, “While Vocoflex is able to replace the timbre, switching the input to a second Synthesizer V voice database gives your voice a different singing style.”
The additional voice databases included in the three bundles deliver a specific voice with special characteristics.
For example, Mai’s “native language is Japanese,” and her voice is designed for “crisp pop singing vocals, particularly suitable for J-Pop, from dance to idol music.”
Regarding the 2 Voices bundle, one of the included voices is Hayden, which has a “soft, breathy, and even melancholic timbre reminiscent of early-2000s pop and radio alt-punk slow anthems.”
You can hear these voices in demos embedded in the bundle product pages.
Vocoflex requires identity verification to use, which Dreamtonics says is to “ensure responsible use of our AI voice technology.”
Vocoflex is for Windows 11 or macOS 11.0+ and is available in VST3, AAX, AU, and standalone formats.

onIn my music production process, I would use the Vocoflex AI voice transformation plugin to push the boundaries of vocal creativity. I’d experiment with pitch shifting and harmonization to create unique vocal layers that add depth to my tracks. The plugin’s ability to alter voice gender and texture would allow me to craft distinct vocal characters, perfect for storytelling or creating rich vocal harmonies. I could also use it for vocal tuning and correction, ensuring every note is pitch-perfect or achieving that modern autotuned effect when needed.
Adrian
onMan i’m going to use this on every track! Can’t wait to get my hands on this!
Steven Casale
onIf I were to win this thang, I would use it first to sound like Tupac dissing Drake, to then later in the song, pretend like I’m Kendrick behind the dissing, thus pulling an Uno Reverse card on Drake and potentially resparking the beef, leading to Drake’s perminante abolishment from Hip Hop.

onI would definitely use Vocoflex for creating demo songs with the voices of certain artists, although imagination is really the limit and this plugin can work wonders.
Joe Basquez
onGetting older has made my vocal range diminish. I can no longer sing the key range for music that I have already produced but am missing the main vocal. I have several projects that I have a verse and chorus but need additional verses and a bridge. To finish those songs I would use Vocoflex to use my own vocal capture from 15 to 20 years ago to complete my projects. I can still sing but my voice strains now at certain ranges. This software is the magic I need to make my music complete.
Adegboyega Oyedele
onIt would be interesting to try using the vocoflex to transform Yoruba Talking Drum sounds into key, and get voices from these to sing (since they already ‘talk’)
Angie

onI would load Vocoflex with with four voices from the same original singer.
Soft
Normal
Falsetto
Growl
Whisper
And then automate and move between those to make the sung vocal more expressive. There is no good way to change the expressiveness on a phrase by phrase basis, but this plug-in can do it. It can be done for the lead and background vocals. Imagine the dubs were sung too hard and doesn’t fit the mix, now you load up Vocoflex and apply the softer tone from the same singer, and bam the mix is perfect!
Tom
onI would do a punk album with it.

onPersonnally I would use it for sound design, to make weird vocal sounds/noises, with several effects and modulation after it.
That would be nice.
Thanks for the giveaway !
Good luck everyone (but maybe more luck for me 😁)
Voice
onI would use it to create intriguing vocal harmonies and sound design.
Joseph
onFor backing vocals and harmonies!
Eric
onI would use it for harmony vocals.
Jay
onFor vocals, obviously. I already use SynthV sometimes. This would just make it more fun and easier.
Jay
onUsing the Vocoflex AI voice transformation plugin in my music production process would definitely add a unique layer to my tracks. here is how I would typically integrate it into my workflow:
Vocal Recording: First, I would start with a clean vocal recording. Whether it’s for lead vocals, backing harmonies, or even ad-libs, having a quality recording is key.
Initial Processing: I’d do some basic processing on the vocals, such as EQ and compression, to make sure they sit well in the mix before applying any transformations.
Applying Vocoflex: I would then load Vocoflex onto the vocal track. I’d experiment with its various preset transformations to see which pitch shifting, modulation, or effects best suit the vibe of the song.
Customization: Depending on the sound I want to achieve, I might dive into the plugin’s settings to customize the parameters. The AI aspect can provide some interesting and unexpected results, so I’d definitely take some time to play around and see what unique textures I can create.
Layering: I might use Vocoflex on different vocal layers to create contrast or harmonies. For instance, I could transform a primary vocal line into a ghostly echo or a completely different tone that complements the main vocal.
Automation: I’d consider automating certain parameters of Vocoflex throughout the track to keep things dynamic. This could mean changing the processing in the chorus to be more pronounced, while keeping the verses more subtle.
Final Mix: After I’m satisfied with the transformations, I would continue mixing the vocals with the rest of the track, making sure the Vocoflex-processed vocals blend well with the instruments and other elements.
Feedback Loop: I’d send rough mixes to friends or collaborators for feedback—sometimes they catch things I might overlook, or they might suggest even more creative ways to use the plugin.
Final Adjustments: Based on feedback, I could make any final tweaks to the vocals, whether that’s adjusting the transformation effects or switching up how I’ve layered vocals using Vocoflex.
Vocoflex would serve as a creative tool in my production arsenal, allowing me to push the boundaries of my vocal sounds.
GARMEN
onTo improve a male voice.
Lars
onTo create more unique vocals. So not te be limited bij a sample pack with only 1 voice
Min Sako
onI don’t have a good voice, so I’ve been using software like Vocaloid and Synthesizer V for the vocal part of my song. I think I can do more if I use Vocoflex, maybe for game dubbing or for some special vocal sample packs.
Nigel
onI would use the plugin for experimentation and expansion of existing acapellas
Christian Voithenleitner
onSince I’m not good in singing, I would use the Vocoflex to turn my garbage Voice into a wonderful piece of music and integrated in my music.
Reopis
onI would use it to add a “human factor” into my music.
Aqua
onI already use the free version of SynthV so this would also help with vocals.
Håkan Hietala
onSince I’m a One Man Band I miss out on the fun stuff, by being in a band, with others.
I almost always miss another voice on my tracks and I think this plugin would do wonders for my tracks since parts is written for a female voice. I have a hard time sounding like a female.
Other parts are written for a choir and here it would really come in handy.
This plugin wouldn’t be left on the shelf, if I say so
Jingrong
onIt is great fun to transfer one’s voice into a virtual one… I’d use it as a cool sound effect to my vocals definitely.
Audiolust
onI would use it for sound design, but not limited to voice as this has a lot more creative potential.

onDear BPB I wrote to you about this several times.
PLEASE DO NOT PICK RANDOM USERS FOR COMPETITIONS.
Pick amongst the most useful answers, this creates more value for the brands, which can help you leverage your media position as an advertiser. Useful comments = research data. Encourage value, value = money.
My answer is I would use it to create different textures for different parts of the songs and especially on my backing vocals. Also I produce music in 3 languages including Chinese so having such a tool would be useful to adapt to different audiences, in a variety of genres, it would likely end on my vocals go to plugin list.
If I am lucky enough to be picked I would happily help with beta-testing & product dev with UX and GUI etc.. and even with marketing ;)
Thanks and all the best.
Chris
onYeah me too
cgma@vaxxine.com
onI would completely mess about with it, with no clear intention! Sounds fun and very interesting. Thank you again!
Robin
onIt sounds very impressive but “requires identity verification to use”? Is that because of its potential to create deep fake type material and knowing who’s responsible for it if so? Is that going to become the norm with such AI driven software – identity verification required to use it? That would perhaps be an interesting subject for a BPB article?
Haliax
onDepending on the latency, I would try to use it in an online RPG session.
John B.
onI would use it to alter my own voice so that I could simulate many different people in voiceovers and vocal overlays (think of all the different people talking on Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon”).
I would also use it for making radio plays where I need other voices.
Thirdly, there are many songs I’ve created that require female vocalists and backing vocalists. I would use this software to create those as well.
Many potential uses for this kind of software!
Venkatesh B
onWoww, what a great plugin 😍.
It feels like melodyne / Auto tune / Little Alter with Synth plant vst.
Definitely we will use it for vocals, however i also want to use on Synths. Just to experiment a little bit 🤏

onHi.
I would probably try this out on non-vocal source material as well as for vocal treatments
RobB
onI would use the Vocoflex plugin for Ethical purposes only as a song without a real person feels immoral. Comping vocals is time consuming and maybe this plugin could give the vocalist and myself possibilities to enhance our art, especially for harmonies. Even if not used in the final production, it would be an amazing tool to have to inspire new ideas and fix minor imperfections.
jodorowsky
oni would record my dog and me being goofy
Alex Pons
onMaybe I’ll use it in vocal samples.
NJ
onWow. I would definitely use this plugin for live performance and production.
In live performance I would creatively alter the timbre of my voice live for effect. For production I would experiment with harmonies and with trying a different vocalist sound for a song to help find a different sounding voice for a song. For example, as a male vocalist, writing and recording a song for a female vocalist and getting a better idea of how it would sound.
Evzen

TheDodgyProducer
onI would use vocoflex primarily for criminal activities including, but not limited to, extortion, fraud, blackmail, pranking fools, piracy on the high seas…somehow, anonymously calling my boss to tell him he’s a poo poo head, and uhmm…sound design.
Grant Newman
oni’d use it to fill out backing vocals and harmonies with my tracks and also use it to enhance my own voice.

onThis is a neat plug-in! I’m aware of AI being able to manipulate vocals, but not in real-time.
I have the idea of using Vocoflex on my own voice to fake a duet, create second voices and construct vocal stacks or choirs of different characters. I feel like I can implement speech or dialogue in my songs by sounding like audiobook narrators.
Man, so many uses. Your imagination is the only limit!
UltraMarina
onI would use Dreamtonics Vocoflex to create characters in animated series. Also to create voices of singers that don’t exist in real life.
RayG
onI would use it for sound design, and possibly for forensic analysis (experimentation would be interesting).
Adrian
onI’d use it for backing vocals and making my own voice sound better.
Daniel B
onI’m not really sure how I would use it, but I’d love to find out
Eduardo Lima
onAlém de camadas de harmonização também na produção de Jingles. Salve essa era tão incrível de Inteligência Artificial, momento fantástico na produção de áudio!

onStephen,
How do I get the bundle pricing listed here in this blog? Is there an affiliate link or something with that pricing? When I go to the Dreamtonics website the bundle prices are significantly higher.
Also, while I so greatly appreciate the opportunity to win a gratis license of the software I would have liked to have had the winner announced before the merchant’s sale ended.
I will use this cool new software for vocal layering and making vocal effects and chops for my songs.
Thanks….
J-Unit
onI would use it to add a monstrous rendition of my normal adlib at 10 second intervals throughout the track before I upload any more rap beats on YouTube.
G. G.
onNot entirely sure tbh, and that’s what I like about it, sounds like something id spend hours noodling with, especially the gender bend options.

Corti.Son
onHi, I wouldn’t necessarily use it for voices, but to make some synth sounds just sound cooler.
Feathers X
onDoesn’t hurt to try. I have always been a custom sound kind of guy. I don’t use anything out the box, I love to manipulate things until they sound like ‘me’. This plugin would definitely help me define my sound as I am not a singer but as a producer, I know how important some form of vocals are in an arrangement. Can’t wait to try it out if I win.
Franz B.
onI don’t really like my voice, but I try to sing.
Maybe this plugin can help me change and enhance something in my voice.
Would be much appreciated.
Matthew
onI think someone already mentioned this– would use it for ambience and sound design, definitely!
Krzysiek

onI don’t usually use vocals in my tracks, but this would definitely inspire me to use more of them. I would also like to experiment with this effect on audio that isn’t vocal. I’m sure it would produce some really nice sounding vocally sound!
CH
onThe most obvious use case would be to create a vocal harmony.
Natalia S.

onI would use it to help gender-affirm my trans friend with her voice in her music production.
M.P.3.
onI would most like to use it to create very realistic harmonies and backing vocals for my own and other’s productions! I can see that Dreamtonics are really taking this AI thing seriously by requiring identity verification and I’m all for it! We don’t need no deepfake world leaders singing songs about peace and love hahah
KEY
onI already have Synthesizer V and would like to change my regular voice library to different voices.
Thomas
onCombine vocals to create a new timbre and use the resulting voice for replacing vocals with a consistent character.
Bernard Clarke
onI would use it on every single project. Someone here has used the term “one man band” -well this is the ultimate part of that strategy, for one can model voices (with permission – once it is ethically sound to do with the other voice(s)). One can create hybrid voices therefore hybrid characters -in this world of simulation and hologram, reality and unreality -this is the ultimate tool. I can also see it/hear it as being an intriguing replacement tool for other instruments/harmonies/elements one has going in music or a dramatic production. The sound design possibilities jump out here.
Fabio
onI would use it to create multiple background voices
Jorge Sebastian Alvarez Herrera
onI would like to use it as a vocaloid effect for my songs.
Marcus
onI recently had a bad experience with my singer, he transfered to another because of his wife. So, if I could ommit singers… Well, maybe, with this give away, for which I thank you and I wish all others to have hassle-free singers or to win this contest…
Eric Fernandez
onFor harmony and backing vocals
Chris Rollason
onAs a Synth V user, I would use Vocoflex to blend several of the voices I already own together to create a more unique voice and maybe even add my own into the mix.
I’d also use it on backvocals and vocal doubles.
Quite excited for this product.
Scott
onI want to create vocal textures for dance tracks and vocals for demos for my songwriting.
Dani EP
onHi
I’d use the Vocoflex AI voice transformation plugin in my music because sometimes it’s nice to hear your own lyrics in different voices; that alone would be awesome. But also, I’d ask my singer friends for recordings so I could use their voices, so we could collaborate and work together in new ways, which would be so-much-fun.
Michael W.
onI would use the Vocoflex AI voice transformation plugin in my music production process for artifical voices as well as background singer voices to cover it with my own voice. But I would also use it to transform my voice. I could use it for my Electronic tracks as well as for other compositions. Good luck to everyone. Cheers Mike
dan
onI will sing, ad Dreamtonics Vocoflex to track and will have fun.
Zachariah
onI would utilize this to create spoken and sung vocal phrases that are difficult to source from sample packs or other similar sources. Oftentimes in my music production I get the urge to have a vocal sample saying something rather absurd or random, it’s just something I like to put into my music.
My own voice is usually what I use but lately I’ve been experimenting with voice changers and similar to increase my sonic palette and options.
dan
onWill sing ad Dreamtonics Vocoflex to track and have fun.
pacardi
onI would use it for harmony vocals.
Al Felton
onI would use it to enhance my voice and anyone else who wishes to sing.

Jaime
onI tune reasonably well, but my voice tone is not musical at all, so I would use the plugin to transform my voice in the demos that I give to the singers who will then sing my songs.
Suny
onI would use it for placeholders in game audio and for video tutorials about music and sfx (about game audio or music) as well which would ensure my voice wouldn’t be used “freely” to train AI.

onMy wife loves to sing and I want us to produce and release a few EDM songs together, but getting her to sing in key, do many takes, sing harmonies and adlibs would cause way to much friction. Having Vocoflex AI would help bridge that gap, allow her creative freedom so I can focus on producing. Her Mother always said she will never succeed in singing and one day I’m determined to prove her wrong, in a nice way (evil grin).
Míra
onabsolutly for extreme sound design will be superb, many thx for chance
Herbie
onI would like to try what type of voice best suits my composition. Based on this, it is easier for me to decide whether it is better to sing myself, hire someone, or leave the AI generated version.
Sound
onThis is exactly what I’ve been looking for. This is amazing at what it can do. The first thing that came to my mind was creating Gospel choirs, like Kanye’s Sunday Service choir. This would be great for creating top line melodies in R&b/Soul samples. I use Soundtoys Little Alter Boy, but for me its just not able to produce the types of voices I want for layers and harmonies when making samples. When the video showed the voice generator, along with what the Synthesizer V can do for creating choirs & vocal layers, that solidified it for me. I would use an AI voice generating website to prompt specific types of vocal timbres & runs (whether Gospel, Classical, R&b etc.), then import them into Vocoflex & Synthesizer V to use along with my voice for creating samples.
TDOL
onLikely BVs and other weird fx.
Monkeyfrog
onI’d use it to create ensemble voice parts, but what I really want to know is whether it is possible to automate it so you can morph from one voice to another. That would be pleasantly creepy
Philipp
onI would try it on a saxophone track 😉
Gabriel
onI would use it to make the weirdest songs and recordings of all time
Alejandro
onI would definitely make some demos.
This plugin seems like it’s perfect for experimentation, I am more of a beatmaker so I would make samples, sound design and try new things out.
I am trying to make some song so also I would use the plugin to fix my voice haha
Gabrielle M.
onI’d use Vocoflex in combination with Vocaloid software. That way, I could transform my voice into the famous sound of Vocaloids like Hatsune Miku–or even create my own virtual singer by blending between a number of voicebanks–but avoid the pronunciation issues that come with many Vocaloid vbs. Using Vocoflex would be a much easier workflow than using Yamaha’s/CFM’s janky DAW-inside-a-DAW method, anyway.
Luidor
onI would create background vocals never heard before :-)
Mark
onI would experiment with pushing it to weird limits to see what kind of strange noises i could create with it.

onI have been blessed with extraordinary musical talents. I can compose, produce music, and play many instruments… but I can’t sing. My voice is embarrassing. If I receive this plugin as a gift, I will finish my solo album and go on tour without risking the audience’s laughter when I start singing. And when that happens, you’ll receive a free copy of my album as a thank you, and you’ll have proof that it was put to good use. All the best! :)

onI suffered a major stroke 12 years ago. This amongst a lot of other tedious shit, fucked up my language center. Before I sang in perfect pitch. Now not at all. So I surely could use this fantastic software, to more or less make me sing again, taking control of my voice or a new, like never before. It would be so great. From the walkthrough videos, I can see so many possibilities opening up for me. I’m in love ;-)
Mark
onI’ll use it to make sounds never heard before because new is always the most interesting one
Benjo Kazooie
onI would use it primarily for its prescribed purpose of expanding the potential of Synthesizer V voicebanks, but I’m also really looking forward to experimenting with its capacity as a sound design tool! How does it take to modulation? What about unconventional source signals or routing configurations? Can I create an artificial harmony by pitch-shifting the original signal? Looks like a really fun and powerful vocal processor!
Mog
oni just wanna use it on my UTAU hehe lil guy go brr
Frozn Colors
onI really want to try it out on my experimental music—inspired by Daft Punk!
Omar Omotion
onI would make it say HELLO MOTO
Katuhiro Kasuga

Kevin Bodnar
onThis Dreamatonics Vocoflex plug-in is a Composer’s dream to have anyone flex their voice into anything worldly possible.
whattaya mean there's no ice? you mean i gotta drink this coffee hot?
onI think with anything like this the best and most fun part is just experimenting with it and kind of pushing it all the way to it’s edges, see in which musical and creative ways you can kind of ‘break it’ for those happy accidents we all love, and which often yield the most unique and memorable results :)
Daniel Ene
onmaybe this will sound ridiculous, but i plan to use it not only for voice, but also try to experiment with a variety of sounds. i think something wild and awesome might come out.
Qasdasq
onI’ve been wanting Synth V for so long. Ever since I toyed around with Alter/Ego a long time ago I’ve craved a better version of it. Synth V was what I was craving but it was too expensive for me. I’d’ use it to make full fledged songs with the vocal banks. Not only creating songs with the sound banks but also using it with my own vocals. Vocal tuning looks to be a thing with this and I’d love to utilize it in my work. Not only can Synth V be used for to add singing, but the sound design work it can provide by using it to make choirs and pads is something I would definitely use it for.
Neil Gallo
onI was once very impressed by the song “Poems” by Tricky. There are three different voices in different verses – male, female, and something in between. This produces a strange effect. I want to use a plugin to try to develop this idea.
Paul Korol
onI’ll use this to create my own vocal alter ego. Might be quite liberating.
GT
onFor demo purposes, to give client an idea of how the final production would sound. This would be beneficial for producers on a budget and can’t afford a demo singer.
Arnold Robles
onI’d actually start writing lyrics and melodies because I wouldn’t be worried about having a voice like nails on a chalkboard.
Franco Lopez
onIt would be cool to not have to hear my voice sounding like me, and might promote my singing launch, instead of just relying on other people all the time.
ollo
onI would change my voice to female vocals. And what would happen if I load synths, drums or animalsounds into it, does it load that kind of sound and will it work or produce interesting glitches? This seems to be on of the interesting plugins at the time!
Niklas Meier
onI’m gonna become rich and famous using it. That’s the plan.
Thomas Miller
onDuh, I’ll use it for vocals!
James
onUniquely and creatively

onSuch a tool would be perfect for me when creating demos, as my budget doent allow to pay actual demo singers.
I have, in my own (slow) pace, been writing songs for about 8 years with the goal becoming a commercial songwriter some day.
My ADD / aspberger and low income hade already affected slowed down the process quite a bit over the years and a tool like this would be of great help + renew my motivation.
Max Krynicki
onI always wanted to use some vocals, but I’m a bad singer. Vocoflex might be a solution.

onI think I’ve only once responded to one of these in the past because I thought I could really use the giveaway. So this makes the second time I try! I’m still looking for that secret sauce for my vocals, which is far and away the weakest part of my music.
Lou

Kapno
onI would use it to create variation through background vocals and engaging different tones to combine with lead vocals. That would be helpful to create some space and to enrich the tone of the vocals in general!
Harry
onGood luck getting it at the stated prices! Remember that tax is added on top and the stated $199 is now $249…unless I’ve missed out on the code to be put in. When I go to check out it’s still stating $249.
If I could afford it, I’d use it to complete my AI collaborative album for my uni course ;)
Aaron
onI’m an experimental artist, this plugin looks like it would be a lot of fun, and sounds like it shows a lot of promise I would apply this to my ongoing audio experiments I think it would present extremely interesting outcomes

onThere are times when vocalists aren’t accessible, that’s where this app would come in handy. This is just screaming for me to use it for backing vocals and even for effects.

onI would take my recorder everywhere I go and get random people I meet to sing. I would become the Pokemon trainer of voice capturing. Any and everyone brave enough. Then I’d mix and match for endless enjoyment. This program really blows my mind, are we officially in the future? Thank you for making this!
John A
onIn my music production process I would use the Vocoflex AI voice transformation plugin to create Queen-esque harmonies.
traversaz
onI would use it for harmonize a lead voice. And surely for digital art installation , it seems possible as the latency is low with some settings
