Abletunes has released a new instrument rack for Ableton Live called Infinite Bass. And best of all, you can grab it for free!
Ableton Live is vastly popular with music producers and musicians alike. As such, many developers are dedicated to creating tools and instruments for this DAW.
Abletunes is one of the most active content developers for Live. They create “premium Ableton templates,” sample packs, presets for Serum, Sylenth1, and Massive, FX plugins, and more.
Today, we will look at Abletunes’ new release called Infinite Bass.
Infinite Bass is a large collection of versatile bass sounds packaged in a user-friendly GUI.
It is sampled from “over 30 vintage and modern analog synthesizers and various acoustic instruments.”
The instrument packs quite a punch with 100 built-in presets and 3 layers of customizable bass sounds.
That makes it perfect for many genres, including synthpop, hip-hop, house, and even techno.
Layers A and B each have a total of 127 sounds to choose from. You also get a filter and an octave macro for layer B.
However, Layer C is an “accent layer” that includes some extra sounds to add texture to your bass. It can add transients, tuned percussion, guitars, strings, etc., to your core bass sound.
You can pick different sounds for each of the 3 layers and blend them to taste. Then, dial in your amp’s ADSR and filter, and you’re ready.
In addition to all of these controls, Infinite Bass features a “random” button, which is always a welcome feature on plugins, especially for sound design.
According to Abletunes, the simplest way to use this instrument is to set your ADSR parameters and hit the random button to generate tons of unique bass sounds.
