FKFX Audio is offering a mysterious free plugin for Black Friday on December 6, 2024, and the sign-up to receive the freebie is open now.
The chance to sign up for the free, previously unreleased plugin will run until December 6.
FKFX’s other plugins are Windows and macOS releases, so we can probably expect the new plugin to be the same.
FKFX is keeping quiet about the free plugin’s exact nature, saying only, “This plugin incorporates cutting-edge technology and promises to provide you with sonic results like never before!”
FKFX created a brief preview via the YouTube demo showcasing the plugin.
The demo features a noisy synth soundscape that goes through some pretty drastic sound design alterations, but it doesn’t really make it clear exactly what the plugin does.
If I had to guess I would say it might be a synth with various onboard mods and FX, or perhaps some kind of sound design tool that can allow you to really transform your signal.
Perhaps some bedroom producers in the comments can guess what it is?
If the demo sounds like it’s up your alley, no doubt you’ll be wondering how to score this freebie.
To do so, just head to the giveaway page and submit an email address.
After I did that, FKFX immediately emailed me a PDF file, which explained that the company would email me the plugin on December 6.
As part of the giveaway promotion, FKFX has also marked down all its plugins by 35% until December 6.
To access this discount, use the coupon code that the dev emails you after signing up for the free plugin.
The deal opens up a discount on the following plugins, which I’ve listed with their regular retail prices: Sylab ($59), Obvious Filter ($59), Vocal Freeze ($79), Influx Pro ($59), KrishnaSynth Legacy Full ($49), and Noise Bleach ($55).
The 35% discount offer ends at the same time as the free plugin deal, on December 6.
If you’d prefer a free plugin now instead of on December 6, FKFX does offer two free plugins permanently.
These are the Influx KVR Award 2021 version, which is a resonator and wavetable plugin, and KrishnaSynth Legacy 1.9.1, which is a synth with a unique frame oscillator for sound design.

onAnything from FKFX….I’m in 🤗

onI just made the acquaintance of their Influx the other night and even though i am the freshman here and that particular plugin is made for a specific genre, which has absolutely nothing to do with the realm i fiddle around in, i got some mean and heavy, heart throbbing sounds out of it and the GUI is stellar to put it mildly.
Since i am all new to the plugin music making world and my finances have seen better days i am relying exclusively on all the free wonderful stuff available to us all, so i cannot chime in on their other offers, nor could i reference anything or even write a critique or anything like that, i simply don’t know enough/anything yet, but i am rather certain, i’ll send them my email (again).
Thank you BPB, what a great pleasure it is to visit here daily and thanks to all the incredible developers, perhaps one or two of you will enjoy the music i made with the help of your fantastic virtual machines in return.

onsounds like the input signal is going through some wavetable filter that is modulated simialr to what you can do e.g. in vital or surge to the wavetable sample. For vital e.g. load a saw, unison 5, set the spectral morphing to smear, the wavetable morphing to sync and automate them with LFOs? Reminds me very much of this and I am very curious to have such stuff as a filter plugin for other sound sources. Would be super cool! FKFX stuff is really good.

onThanks Stephen, BPB & FKFX
This looks like some kind of synth to me, whatever it is, it will most likely be amazing like all other FKFX plugins are 💛

onThere is always a catch: Can I get my new shiny AIR Multiband Filterbank plugin, without having to install the inMusic Software Center ?
I wanted a free plugin, not yet another software center installation :-(
The Sound Of Lex
onMaybe you can download the Demo version and activate it with your Account without the Software Center.
The Sound Of Lex
onI can confirm you that the Demo version works fine in my DWA’s and can be activated without the Software Center, only with your account. Hope this works with you too. Greetings!

onI have tried since yesterday to download the demo from AIR website. Keeps giving the “403 – Forbidden” Message. How exactly did you download the demo?

onI have a second system that I boot into from an external SSD that is full of these licence and download managers. I use it to register licences that can’t be done online and download installers that can’t be downloaded any other way.
Helps to keep my primary system clean.

onAnd we keep accepting it. We’ll download what ever they want us to as long as its high quality enough and free. !HELPPPPPP

onThank you for your tip, i had issues with the app asking me to create an account (which i already had)
Using the trial version and activating using my account name & password works for me, all working well on MacOS Catalina & Ableton Live 11 (even though system requirements are MacOS Ventura)
Thanks Lex
The Sound Of Lex
onI’m glad that it works. Cheers!
