Fine Classic Plugins has released Subtle Spaces, a reverb plugin for macOS and Windows. and the developer’s first free plugin.
Subtle Spaces is a new convolution reverb effect with a simple and intuitive GUI. The featured IRs (impulse responses) include sixteen rooms and spaces of various sizes.
The various shapes and sizes of the rooms and spaces offer different character profiles for distinct sound design or adding a little depth.
Some of the rooms and spaces are typical, like a Recital Hall, Cathedral Room, and Intimate Live Space.
But, like many convolution reverb plugins, there are a few more unusual IRs, like a Pep Rally in this case.
Subtle Spaces allows users to load custom IRs, which is a nice touch. In addition to adding custom IRs, you can switch between the Waveform and Filter section views to fine-tune the effect further.
You can boost/cut frequencies via the drag and drop points in the Filter section view.
Subtle Spaces offers 40 general and instrument-specific presets. Preset banks are Genera, Drums, Keys, Guitar, and Vocals.
You can adjust the Width and Pre-Delay settings to find the perfect balance for your mix.
We see a lot of free reverb plugins, but it’s always nice to add more because each one typically offers something a little different.
One of my recent favorites is Wave Alchemy’s Magic7, a free Bricasti M7 reverb emulation.
If you’re looking for a new instrument to pair with some subtle reverb, Wavering Choir is one of the best in recent months. Wavering Choir is part of The Crow Hill Company Vaults series, so get it before it’s gone.
The remaining controls for Subtle Spaces are Input/Output Gain sliders and dry/wet Mix control.
To download Subtle Saces for free, all you have to do is enter your name and email address on the Fine Classics Plugins website.
Fine Classics Plugins is currently offering significant discounts on paid products and bundles.
With so many sales and promotions throughout November leading into the Black Friday weekend, it’s worth checking out any sales that are still running beyond Black Friday (like 60% off at Modalics).

onUnfortunately it internally sums the input signal to mono (regardless of ‘width’ setting), so in my opinion it is only useable as a send effect – not in a serial effects chain.

oni can not confirm that.
on a stereo track with stereo instance of the plugin, the output of any preset i tried is always stereo, at 0 and at 100% mix parameter setting.
maybe the solution to your problem can be found elsewhere?

onNo, it doesn’t. It works perfectly fine in Reaper. Maybe contact their support if that’s the only plugin that does that in your DAW?

onDo you use FL studio?

onWait, why is that relevant?
