T-RackS One is designed to make mastering simple and intuitive. And with this plugin, “anyone can achieve professional-quality results in the blink of an eye.”
It is far from the only “all-in-one” mastering plugin out there. There have been offerings from Plugin Alliance, iZotope, Waves, and more for mastering.
However, T-RackS One aims to offer versatility but also a straightforward workflow for the user.
This plugin includes controls for tone shaping, harmonic enhancement, compression, stereo width, and more with only 9 knobs. How, you ask? Let’s take a look.
First, you get access to a simple 3-band EQ: FOCUS, BODY, and AIR for fine-tuning the low-end, midrange intelligibility, and top-end, respectively.
You can enhance the low end even more with the BASS PUNCH knob. It allows for boosting the bass frequencies while still keeping them tight and punchy.
ANALOG adds color and harmonic saturation to your track. A lot of the plugins we use as producers may be fully digital, so it’s always nice to be able to add a touch of analog color.
TRANSIENT can either smooth out or enhance the attack of the transients, while WIDTH controls the stereo image. Both of these knobs are bipolar, which is a nice touch.
The two big knobs in this plugin, PUSH and VOLUME, are for adjusting compression and overall loudness.
They’ve packed a gain reduction meter into each of these knobs with green LEDs that light up accordingly. Very cool.
There’s a RESET switch, should you want to start over when dialing in the plugin, as well as a BYPASS switch.
Finally, similar to other IK Multimedia plugins, T-RackS One offers 4 slots for storing settings for conveniently A/B’ing between different sounds.
T-RackS One is available for Windows and macOS in VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
