Audiolatry offers RetroSynth (€28), the full version of their retro-inspired sample-based instrument plugin, as a free download for a limited time.
Previously, we took a look at RetroSynth Lite, a slimmed-down free edition of the instrument. Now, Audiolatry is offering the complete RetroSynth at no cost for anyone interested in adding retro synth tones to their music production toolkit.
RetroSynth is a sample-based virtual instrument created using Maize Sampler, and it comes with all the standard built-in effects typical of Maize products. While these effects might not blow you away, they are practical and more than capable of giving your sampled sounds that little extra flair.
One neat touch I really liked, though, is the Speaker effect. It will make the sampled sounds even more lo-fi when engaged.

Otherwise, the interface is intuitive and straightforward. The layout is clean, with the main controls conveniently placed for quick access.
At the bottom, there’s a virtual keyboard for instant sound auditioning, and the top features a preset browser that lets you browse through the available sounds.
Under the hood, RetroSynth includes 87 multi-sampled presets inspired by vintage synth hardware. The preset collection spans keys, pads, leads, plucks, and bells. It’s a solid selection of synth sounds for electronic, synthwave, pop, and EDM genres.
Each preset can be tweaked through dedicated ADSR controls, filter cutoffs, and LFO modulation to add motion and character to the otherwise static samples.
To claim RetroSynth for free, visit the Audiolatry website, click “Get The Plugin,” and enter the promo code NHWWD4Y at checkout. This code reduces the price from the usual €28 down to zero.
Act quickly, though—the end date for this free offer hasn’t been announced, and it won’t last forever.
RetroSynth is compatible with 64-bit Windows (from 8.1 to 11) and macOS (Mojave 10.14 and newer). Supported formats are VST3 and AU, covering all major DAWs such as Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro X, and Cubase. Note that Pro Tools is not supported.
Installation instructions are straightforward—simply copy and paste the plugin files into your DAW’s plugin folder, and you’re ready to start creating with this retro-inspired gem.
