Control isn’t your typical reverb plugin. It’s based on a feedback delay network (FDN), and while the results can sound reverb-like at low settings, things get wild as you push the feedback past the halfway mark.

The plugin then starts to self-oscillate, smearing and stretching your input into unpredictable washes, smears, and drones.

I’ve been testing Control for a few days, and it feels more like a sound design tool than a traditional effect. It works great for adding subtle space and diffusion, but it can also push sounds into noisy, ambient territory with a couple of tweaks.
