The SlimVerb2 reverb plugin from the developer 2B Played Music is now free for a limited time.
Some of you probably have the original SlimVerb plugin; we’ve covered it a few times through various offers and limited-time promotions.
If you liked the original, here’s your chance to upgrade to SlimVerb2 for free.

SlimVerb2 is available in AU, VST3, and AAX formats for macOS and Windows.
The SlimVerb concept comes from taking algorithms from the premium PrimeVerb plugin and packaging them in a simple interface with limited controls.
Fans of the original SlimVerb will be glad to hear that SlimVerb2 stays true to that concept.
The interface is virtually identical to the previous version.
Like the original, the streamlined control set includes:
- X/M/S
- Drive
- HP FLT
- Mix
- Damp
- Low/High
- Level
The streamlined layout lets you dial in the perfect reverb quickly and easily. Although speedy results are a major selling point for SlimVerb2, it goes a bit deeper than you might expect from a streamlined reverb.
I really like the addition of the stereo/mono, Damp, and Drive controls.
Basic reverb plugins don’t always make it easy to place reverb perfectly in the mix, and the X/M/S (crossed stereo/mono/stereo) control makes that possible.
Similarly, the Damp and Drive controls go beyond the basics, helping you tame a runaway reverb and add texture where needed.
In addition to the original plugin’s classic character, SlimVerb2 offers an enhanced reverb engine mode and a few creative features.
The new features are Bloom and Motion processing.
Bloom adds a late reverb that develops behind the main tail, helping create the illusion of wide-open space in a more controlled way.
The Motion function is excellent for cinematic or atmospheric textures; it adds subtle movement to sustained sounds.
Overall, SlimVerb2 builds on everything good about the original plugin; its simple controls and factory presets make it easy to quickly dial in the right large/small, subtle or characterful reverb.
You can also get quite creative without losing the source’s clarity.
