Plastaq Software has released Scythe, a freeware virtual synthesizer in VST plugin format for Mac (although it seems a Windows version could be released soon).
My new VST synth, Scythe, is free and available now. It’s a port of my GrainBender iPad synth but with a somewhat different interface tailored more for VST. It’s currently Mac only but a Windows port shouldn’t be too difficult.
Scythe is available for free download via Plastaq Software. This synthesizer is actually a VST version of GrainBender, an iPad synth by the same developer (a video review of which is available here).
