Film composer Jasper Blunk has released Fortissimo Trumpet Ensemble, a great sounding and completely free fortissimo trumpet sample collection.
Here are a few trumpet ensemble patches from an older session of custom studio brass ensembles I recorded at one point. Two trumpets, recorded in traditional seating position (towards the right).
Fortissimo Trumpet Ensemble is available for free download via Jasper Blunk’s website (185MB download size, 205MB on disk, 217 samples in 24-bit WAV format).
The pack also inlcludes 3 instrument patches for NI Kontakt (Marcatos, Stacattos, Matrix Swells), however Kontakt is not required to use these sounds as they are also available as WAV files.
I had a quick play with the samples, and the sound quality is simply amazing. Do not miss this sample pack if you need trumped sounds in your sample library! Take a listen to the demo track below and you’ll know what I mean.
