Diversion is among the finest currently available software synthesizers. It is a monster virtual synth with 4 great sounding and versatile low aliasing oscillators, a large set of filters, loads of routing and modulation options, a powerful FX section, and up to 8X oversampling.
The oscillator section generates waveforms in real time, resulting in clean and non-aliased output even on higher pitches. The oscillators can also be used for FM and RM synthesis. The FX section of Diversion is a story on its own. Up to 8 different effects can be linked together in one FX line and you can use 2 FX lines at the same time! The fun doesn’t stop there, since Diversion features a powerful mod matrix and a vast array of modulation sources. There are 4 LFOs, 4 ADSR envelopes, 4 MSEGs and one XY-controller, offering hours and hours of patching and tweaking pleasure.
The non-tweaking types can forget about all this nerdy stuff and start exploring the numerous presets which are available for this great synth. There are plenty of commercial sound banks offered by leading sound designers such as Simon Stockhausen and Le Lotus Bleu, as well as a nice selection of freebie presets which can be downloaded on the official website.
