Synth Magic has announced the release of 7300 Synth, a free NI Kontakt sample library based on the Jen Piano 73 synthesizer. They’ve also released a free collection of Dynacord DRS-78 digital delay impulse responses.
Free intrument for Kontakt 4.2.3 and higher. This instrument uses the 4 preset sounds from a Jen Piano 73. Many extra features added to create a sort of mini Kontakt synth.
7300 Synth is another lovely free sample library by Synth Magic, similar in quality to their previously released Siel PX freebie except for the fact that it’s based on a completely different hardware instrument. This brand new library features a collection of multi-samples captured from the Jen Piano 73 analogue keyboard, which have been formatted for use with Kontakt 4.2.3 or higher.
The user interface features all the standard parameters for tweaking the provided samples, along with additional controls for the built-in effects section. What makes the library really shine though are the presets, which add loads of variety to this sample collection with a range of lovely vintage keyboard sounds. Some of the included Kontakt multis sound absolutely fantastic and I’m sure they’ll find their place in any vintage synth lover’s sound arsenal.
Unfortunately, the samples are included in the compressed NCW format, which means that you’ll need a copy of NI Kontakt in order to use the freebie instrument. You’ll be able to use it for 15 minutes in the freeware Kontakt Player version.
The product page linked below also features a free collection of impulse responses captured from the Dynacord DRS-78 digital delay unit. It contains 133 impulse responses in total, from standard digital delays to some great sounding reverbs. If you’re looking for a free plugin to let you fire up these free impulses inside your favorite DAW, take a look at the freeware Reverbarate LE convolution reverb by LiquidSonics.
Both libraries are available for direct free download from the developer’s website linked below and there’s no need to sign up or submit your credentials.
