Sampleism has announced that the Siel PX instrument library by Synth Magic is now available for free download on their website.

Free Kontakt instrument for Kontakt 5.2.1. from Synth Magic. This is based on the Siel PX electric piano. It is free for you to download and enjoy.

Siel PX is available for free download via Sampleism (115.7 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 22 instrument presets in NKI format for Native Instruments Kontakt).

You’ll need to register for a free account @ Sampleism to get the download link. It’s a simple process, especially if you have a social account like Facebook or Twitter. An alternative download link is located here.

The instrument is based on 232 samples of the Siel PX electric piano. Sadly, the pack does not include any samples in WAV format, so you’ll need to use Kontakt in order to play the instrument without any restrictions. The instrument will work for 15 minutes in the freeware Kontakt Player, after which the playback will stop.

The original Siel PX is a very rare piano-like analogue instrument. Synth Magic has done a great job sampling it. The provided patches sound warm and organic and are easy to tweak using the provided custom Kontakt interface.

This is an updated version of the previous Siel PX (the original release was covered here) release by Synth Magic. It includes a completely new set of samples with several velocity layers and new scripting for the Kontakt instrument panel.
