Pulseha Xylophoner Sound Library Is FREE Until November 10th

Pulseha has released Xylophoner, a xylophone sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt. Normally priced at $5, Pulseha is offering the library as a completely free download on their website until November 10th.

Xylophoner is a simple Kontakt instrument based on a set of 60 xylophone samples (24-bit/44.1kHz quality) and one sub-bass sample. There are two velocity layers per sampled note, along with a sub-bass layer which is provided for thickening up the sound of the instrument. The samples are provided as Kontakt’s lossless NCW compressed files. The full version of NI Kontakt is required to play the library without the 15-minute demo limitation of Kontakt Player.

The interface provides direct control over the low, high, and sub-bass layer volumes. Also provided is a simple AD amplitude envelope as well as the arpeggio module with adjustable swing. The included reverb effect offers the choice between several different reverb types. The sound quality is good overall, especially with a bit of reverb added on top. There are enough samples to prevent the instrument from sounding obviously artificial.

Until November 10th this year, Xylophoner can be downloaded completely free of charge from the product page below. After that, the asking price of $4 will come into effect.

Xylophoner is available for free download via Pulseha (4.81 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 1 instrument patch in NKI format for NI Kontakt).
