Indeed, the regular asking price for Multipass software and the kHs Toolbox expansion bundle which contains 26 effect modules is $399, which is quite an investment. At $99, though, the Ultimate EDM Toolkit is a far more reasonable purchase considering the flexibility of the platform.
Multipass allows the user to create almost any custom FX chain imaginable using the modular building blocks (called “snap-ins”) which are included in the kHs Toolbox. These can be modulated internally using LFOs, envelopes, MIDI, and via macro controls. Both the individual “snap-ins” and Multipass can be loaded as VST or AU plugins in any compatible digital audio workstation. Some of the “snap-ins” are also available as free downloads, such as the 3-Band Equalizer which we mentioned earlier this year.
So for the price of $99, you’re getting a modular platform with 26 individual FX modules. You can use them as the building blocks of your custom modular FX chain, or simply load them as insert effects in your digital audio workstation’s native mixer. The kHs Toolbox bundle covers everything from simple compression and EQ modules to ring modulation, pitch shifting, phase distortion, transient shaping, and more.
