Wave Alchemy has released Evolve, a freely downloadable drum sample pack featuring 300 hand-picked sounds from the Evolution (£149.95) drum machine instrument for NI Kontakt.

In my opinion, it’s the most impressive virtual drum machine for NI Kontakt on the market right now. It comes with a huge drum sample library of over 28,000 electronic drum sounds and intuitive drum layering controls. The library is also compatible with the free Kontakt Player, so there’s no reason to purchase the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt.
The newly released Evolve sample pack doesn’t offer Evolution’s superb drum layering and sequencing capabilities, but it provides a taste of the full product’s impressive range of sampled drum sounds. The freebie kit includes 300 sounds from Evolution in 24-bit WAV format. All sounds are completely royalty-free for use in your free and commercial projects.
The included sample content is organized into folders by sound type (kick drums, claps, electronic snares, acoustic snares, etc.).
