UVI is offering the BeatHawk beat-making app for iOS as a free download until April 30th, 2020. The company is also running an up to 50% OFF sale on all BeatHawk in-app purchases.
BeatHawk is UVI’s flagship mobile music production software for iOS devices. The app is built around a 16-pad sampler and a groovebox-style pattern recorder. However, dig a bit deeper, and you’ll discover that the BeatHawk can be used to create reasonably complex beats and even complete songs.See also: 40+ Music Production Freebies To Help You #StayAtHome
The app features a sixteen-track sequencer with up to sixteen patterns per part, a fully-featured piano roll, audio recording capabilities, a wide selection of built-in effects, and powerful modulation capabilities. The project can be exported as a stereo mix, audio stems, MIDI tracks, and even as an Ableton Live project file. In terms of inter-app connectivity, BeatHawk supports Ableton Link, Inter-App Audio, Audio Unit v3, Audiobus, and AudioCopy interfaces.
The core version of BeatHawk comes with factory soundbanks – Urban and EDM. The two libraries provide a decent selection of good-quality drums and synth samples. The user can expand the sound selection via in-app purchases. UVI is offering a wide range of expansion packs, covering a multitude of music styles and instrument types. You’ll find libraries for EDM, trap, hip-hop, electronica, orchestral music, rock, and more.
The price range for the expansion packs is between £1.49 and £7.99, depending on the number of included samples and presets. At the moment, all in-app purchases on sale, with up to 50% OFF in discounts.
Another way to expand the sounds is the User Library. It enables the user to load an external audio file through iCloud, as well as Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive.
To claim your free copy of BeatHawk, visit the App Store page using a compatible iOS device (iPad 4 or newer, iPhone 6 or later) and click the download button. The offer expires on April 30th, 2020.
