Audio Plugin Deals is giving away the Horror Harp ($30) sound library for Native Instruments Kontakt by Simple Samples Audio.
Halloween is the perfect time of the year to step up your horror samples game. Various soundware makers offer sizable chunks of spooky sounds completely free! One such example is Simple Samples Audio, who is giving away its Horror Harp Kontakt instrument for free at Audio Plugin Deals.
Horror Harp by Simple Samples Audio
Typically priced at $30, the Horror Harp is a unique horror soundtrack instrument that’s easy to use without much production experience. Indeed, there’s almost nothing in terms of parameters and controls to adjust – it’s a simple “plug and play” affair.
The distressed harp virtual instrument ought to work just great for any horror, ambient and cinematic projects you may have going. The sampled sounds are generated by an antique lap harp with slightly off-tune guitar strings. The combination of an old harp and off-tune strings makes for even more unsettling plucks and glissandos!
In terms of content, the 13MB instrument includes a complete keyboard’s span of sound sampled from this very harp. You do, however, need to have the full version of Kontakt 6.2.2. or higher to play the instrument.

Then again, you can always try extracting the audio files from the archive and load them into any of the free virtual samplers out there. Or a hardware sampler, if you have one. There you go!

it takes pretty much no effort and only a few clicks and about 5 minutes, especially if you already have an audioplugin.deals account (which considering what site we’re on, you should) and yr browser autofills account creation info. pretty standard and not really worth complaining about a free plugin.
