Xperimenta Project has released Preparato Piano Free, a freely downloadable prepared piano sound library for Native Instruments Kontakt (full version required).
Preparato Piano Free is based on Xperimenta Project’s commercial Preparato Piano library for Kontakt. It features only two articulations from the full release and a limited version of the Acoustic Modular Instrument engine.

The two included articulations (brushed strings and tremolo) can be used as an intricate sonic spice in your compositions. The library is a great fit for any film composer’s sound arsenal, but it can also work in atmospheric pieces or even experimental electronic music.
The instrument features a capable front panel for NI Kontakt. The user can fine-tune the built-in effects and various performance parameters, take full advantage of the bundled sample content.
It’s worth noting that the library requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt to operate. It will only work for fifteen minutes in the free Kontakt Player plugin. If you don’t own the full version of Kontakt, be sure to check out our list of free Kontakt Player libraries.
