IK Multimedia’s popular Syntronik Pro-V (retail price €49.99) virtual instrument (powered by Syntronik) is FREE with Beat Magazine’s latest December issue (€4.99).

You can get the 12/21 issue of Beat Magazine (English version), or subscribe to their annual magazine (with over 100 back copies). By subscribing, you can get access to over 400 GB of software that they’ve included for their readers in past issues.

IK Multimedia’s entire Syntronik range is incredible, offering authentic sample-based emulations of some of the most legendary synthesizers in history. The Pro-V is based on Sequential Circuits’ Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 polysynths.

Here’s an extract from Beat Magazine’s description of this iconic synth:

“Our software highlight, Syntronik Pro-V by IK Multimedia, excites with the fantastic sound of Sequential Circuits‘ classic Prophet-5 and Prophet-10, and also offers a great-sounding multimode filter that makes wafting Techno and Drum & Bass basslines a breeze. On top, it features a very sophisticated step arpeggiator that makes snappy EDM hooks almost a breeze to create.”

With this plugin, you get over 900 MB of content, more than 2,000 samples, and 87 instruments. You can use it as a plugin within any DAW on Windows or macOS, and it comes in the VST/VST3/AU/AAX formats.

Here’s more info about the Beat magazine offer:

Syntronik Pro-V comes with the latest issue 12/21 of Beat magazine, which is available for 4,99 Euro as a single PDF issue at Falkemedia or as a subscription at Plugins-Samples. Yearly subscribers at Plugins-Samples get access to 100+ back issues of Beat Magazine, including all the software highlights (while stocks last).”

The Pro-V is a great way to create pop sounds. Its two selectable-shape oscillators are a great way to start, and its FM and polymod sections are great for creative tweaking. The added noise generator allows for interesting effects too.

While the Prophet-5’s iconic sounds need no introduction to most of us, here’s a quick demo of the Syntronik Pro-V:

I don’t know about you, but that sounded like absolute bliss to me! It took me straight back to my Pink Floyd phase.

Also, just in case you missed it, Sequential reintroduced the Prophet-5 last year, so if you feel like this software emulation isn’t enough for you, you could get the real thing!

So if you didn’t already have enough synthesizer plugins in your collection, here’s another one you can add for a fraction of its cost! And on top of that, you’ll get some great content on creating the ‘perfect drop’ with Beat Magazine.

  1. Beat’s website used to have an English button over in the top right hand corner, but it looks like it’s gone these days–at least from a Firefox perspective. But they do have English editions of the mag itself. I got a subscription several months ago via Zinio (a site/service which has its own problems, but I digress). Don’t know much about the Falkemedia site, but I think a sub’s worth it, as Beat does give away some cool stuff!

    • Nope, I’ve had multiple IK Multimedia freebies for many years, never had to pay to ‘reactivate’, in fact, I have never bought anything from them, I just have the freebies, no issues at all
Are you sure you’re not thinking of the download links, they will expire if you need them again and haven’t saved them
