Attack Magazine offers Waves Audio’s Trans-X ($99 retail price) transient shaper plugin as a free download until April 8th, 2022.
Trans-X is a transient shaper plugin by Waves Audio. It’s designed to boost or attenuate the transients in drum recordings and other percussive material.
The plugin includes two components: Multi (4-band) and Wide (wideband).
Trans-X Wide is the wideband component that processes the entire frequency spectrum. You can use it to apply broad changes, and it’s generally suitable for less complex audio material.
Trans-X Multi is a multi-band transient shaper that lets you focus on a particular area of the spectrum. This is useful when working on a more complex signal, such as a stereo drum track. You can use the plugin to only boost the bass drum transient while leaving the rest of the signal unaffected.
The plugin comes with full undo/redo functionality, preset management, and other features we’re used to seeing in Waves Audio plugins.
Trans-X typically costs $99 (currently on sale for $29), but you can get it for free via Attack Magazine.

Please note that you will need to download the Waves Central software to install and activate the plugin. You will also need to redeem your serial number on the Waves Audio website.

UPDATE #2: It seems that there’s a delay when signing up for the freebie. Some readers are seeing an error message, but the email with the code does arrive eventually, reportedly. I’ll update the article again if I receive fresh info.

onQuiero dejar claro que aunque aparezca el mensaje de error y no haya ninguna confirmación de que has hecho el pedido, te llegará un email con el código único del producto Trans x para después descargarlo e instalarlo en Waves Central. Solo hay que esperar y tener paciencia. Yo lo hice una vez y tambien creí que la cosa no funcionaba, pero pasado un tiempo mire mi correo y vi que tenía el email con el código o licencia del producto. Ahora TRANS-X esta en mi DAW.
IMPORTANTE:
Al introducir la licencia en Waves central para instalar y activar el producto me dio mensaje de licencia no válida. Es porque seguramente hay algún espacio entre los números de la licencia. Se arregla eliminando ese espacio. Un saludo.

When I want to close or refresh the page, the secrutiy settings of my browser alarm me it’s unsafe.

onI tried to sign up about 10 times and I only ever saw “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” I went away to do other things for 40 minutes and when I came back I had the serial from them in my email.
So its a bit scuffed but should be working

Looks like mailinglist server is blocking adresses that had been uploaded multiple times (I think over 5 times when it detects those as a spam).
