AmpliTube Nu-Tron III emulates the Musitronics Mu-Tron® III Automatic Wah from 1972. It’s an auto-wah pedal originally intended for use with guitars, but it was most famously used to sweeten the sound of analog keyboards.
The virtual edition of the pedal borrows the design and functionality of its hardware counterpart. If you’re looking for a vintage-inspired modulation pedal to add some vibe to your digital synthesizers and samples, the Nu-Tron III is well worth a look.
The plugin features three control knobs (Gain, Peak, Mode) and two buttons (Range and Drive). The workflow is pretty self-explanatory. Pick a filter type, adjust the resonance, and set the modulation speed to fit your project.

Instructions for your FREE Nu-Tron III effects pedal:
- Log into your IK account and head to your User Area;
- Use the pop-up message to Redeem your promotional item and sign up for the Newsletter, if you’re not already;
- Download and open the IK Product Manager;
- Select Manage My Products, then using the Software tab, click the Install and Authorize button to the right of AmpliTube 5;
- If you’re already authorized, hover over the Authorize button and click Re-Authorize.
AmpliTube Nu-Tron III is available in 64-bit VST2/VST3/AU/AAX plugin formats for Windows and macOS.

onFollowed the instructions step by step to install the Nu-Tron III and no luck. I also cannot find a way to connect to a human at ikmultimedia regarding the issue. (Mac M1 issue?) I’ve tried two browsers as well.

onI don’t seem to be getting a pop-up. Last freebie for Comprexxor it took a few tries but eventually did show. I’ve been trying this one for a while and have gotten nothing so far.

onI had some minor issues while trying to get Nu-Tron III. Lack of the pop-up window happened to me in the past regarding other offers. As always IK Multimedia were fast to response and the issue was fixed the next day. I would suggest to get in touch with support.
